Surprising what $20 will buy.
I have had a Leatherman for years, occasionally I set it down and misplace it for a few days or even a few weeks but always eventually find it again. It has now been all summer and it could be lost forever, but the costs for replacing one of those is too high right now, especially when it still could turn up again. So I was tired of not having a knife/multi tool and so decided to buy a Workpro, and just see if it can get me by for now. Well I am absolutely thrilled with this knife! I actually in some ways like it better than my Leatherman. I like that unlike my Leatherman, all the tools access without opening the handles up. The locking mechanism is stout, almost too stout until I put a little oil in it which really loosened it up. The saw is new, my Leatherman didn't have that and is quite sharp. The knife blade wasn't super sharp but well hollow ground, and a minute with a diamond sharpening rod had it to near razor sharpness. The scissors I feel are superior to Leatherman's, almost as good as Swiss Army ones. All the screw drivers seem very useful, the straight screw driver blades are ground a bit narrower than the Leatherman, making it more useful, but potentially more fragile too I suppose. The only downside I see is the weight of the Workpro, but that isn't that big of a deal. I would hope that the added heft will make it a stronger tool. Time will tell, but this multi tool ain't no junk, that's for sure! Edited. As I use this knife I am liking it all the more. It feels like it is going to last a very long time, not a piece of junk at all. A very small gripe I had was that the stainless metal was for the most part quite dull, including parts of the handle, the knife blade etc. So I took a small piece of scotch pad and shined it up, then used very fine steel wool to finish it off. It looks so much better now (see photo). Took around a half hour to do this.

It's pretty great for the price, but it's not gonna be perfect.
I've been using this for over two years now and I can safely say it's not as good as the more recognized brands, but it does come at a super reasonable price. As a park ranger, I never know what tool I'll need, but with multiple screwdrivers, scissors, a knife, a small saw, pliers, and several other tools, this has saved me many trips to the tool box, or worse, the shed. After two years of use, the tools are all still functioning well, but there is a small bit of rust that has started to develop on some of the blades. Not enough to affect performance, but more than my colleagues have on their higher quality (more expensive) tools. I have also always carried a pocket knife separate from this tool for two reasons. First, it's faster to pull my pocket knife if I just need a blade, rather than working the knife out of a multi tool. Second, the knife on this tool is kinda short for my preferences. The sheath was convenient and was made perfectly for the tool, it's almost satisfying to sheath and unsheath this tool. However, getting what I paid for, the belt loop on my sheath broke a few months after buying this. I did get a sheath from another knife I had, so I do still carry this tool using a different sheath. The fact that the tools are on the outside and not the inside means that it is easy to access anything I need without opening up the whole tool. I've never used it, but there is a small loop that could be used to tie a string or something to the tool, I assume it is an alternative to the sheath (maybe for a carabiner or simply a necklace) but the loop is retractable and never in the way if you prefer using a sheath like I do. Overall I would simply say, I can totally understand why someone would buy a more expensive, name brand tool. Personally, this one has served me well enough for two years and I don't see myself needing a new one anytime soon.

Value Multi-tool Needs work to be Great
This can be a Great for the Value multi-tool but it needs work, first the tool is very stiff, I would break a nail before some of the tools would deploy, and the lock/release tab is Very stiff and hard to release the tools. The pliers made a grinding sound when using and the knife blade was dull. So after using WD40 to clean all the tool joints, a lot of dirt/residue came out, then I used Nano oil to lube all the joints and the pliers and worked them back and forth until they started to move easily (I had to loosen a tiny bit the screw on the knife side because the tool were so stiff) I also had to work the work the lock/release tab back and forth with another screwdriver to loosen because it was almost unusable. I had to sharpen the knife properly. Now the good news It now works Great! for the price, the tool is heavy duty and feel very solid all the tools are work nicely, although the pliers are for light use like electrical wire or soft steel, I used them to cut a small hard nail and it marred the cutters (I had to fix with a small file and it works fine now). It also fits in my maxpedition single sheath along with the Leatherman bit adapter which adds 14 more bit options to the work pro. I used all the tools and no problem in their function all work good, not as good as a leatherman but get the job done. This tool compared to leatherman is no contest the leatherman is so much better in feel and function for a tool you use frequently, but if you use it only occasionally or want an extra tool for your vehicle, or you don't want to spend the money for a leatherman this tool is very good if you put a little work into it.

Solid Budget Multitool on First Impression
Pros. I like the heavy duty feel of this multi-tool. The spring pliers open smoothly and align well. The outside accessible tools fit tightly and seem well made. It has all the tools you could want on a multi-tool except a serrated blade. There are five tools that flip out easily into a locked position on one side and four on the other, and they release by press-in locks on either side of each handle. The locks work well after loosening them up a little and getting used to them. The three-sided file's cross-pattern side feels like it has decent abrasiveness. Due to smooth operation, well placed nail nicks, and the clever way the tools are sandwiched into the handles, any tool can be easily snatched out without the others coming out along with it. There is a thick, "3D" Phillips slotted into the middle of one handle. Cons. Slightly heavy, as expected from a budget multi-tool. The saw is a little wiggly, but could be tightened with two torx wrenches. It also seems light and "plasticy," but also sharp enough to do the job. Overall, though, solid construction, generous tool selection, and a well thought out design make this a very good multi-tool for the price.

Great Gift Idea... but with a Grandparents warning....
Great multitool... it's got some weight to it. Perfect for a gift... heavy in the box. Awesome sheath that comes with it. The first one I got looked like it might have been a returned model. I contacted Amazon, the seller immediately sent out a replacement.... Great customer service. Get several of these, for gift ideas, at under $20 a piece, you won't find another gift that has a great initial "feel" to the box... it's heavy, and creates curiosity immediately upon holding it in your hand... When it arrived, I initially thought it was a part I ordered for my Jeep.... yes, for the size of the box it comes in, it's that heavy!!! Any 10 year old kid who's being raised by their grandparents, and spends time outdoors, in the woods will go nuts over this!... and any adult would also... but probably not the kids' parents (your adult children who parented your grandchildren) if they subscribe to the millennial-model of parenting, because a small knife blade is part of it.... LOL.... it could be dangerous... so, if you are in this same sort of grandparent twilight zone as I am, where you are trying to teach your grandkids to stay off their phones and get into doing something with their hands, with tools, that's fun.... this is the multi-tool that will open the door to a plethora of creative, solution-creating / problem solving opportunities to fix, repair or create something cool. WARNING... DO NOT SHIP THIS TO THEIR HOUSE!!!!... This would be strictly a "at Grampa and Gramma's house only" kind of gift, with mom and dads approval of course... (I'm sorry, what was that?) It can sit in the gun safe, next to the Red Rider BB Gun and the Sling Shot you got them last Christmas, so it's there for them to use when they come to visit.... and if the parental units don't agree, then that's where grand-parenting can take-on a whole new level of "what the hell were you thinking" from both ends of that spectrum... (ya, if you are over 55 and have grand kids, I bet we're on the same page). LOL

Great price for such a multifunctional locking tool, but...
Love the holster, the price, the variety of tools, and the fact that most of the tools lock. However, finally got around to needing one of the tools today—namely, the pliers, and was disappointed to learn that when you use any kind of force on the pliers, the handles cave in and you end up with the pliers being useless. If you place nothing in the pliers and squeeze them, you get the impression that they are solid. But when you put something in the jaws of the pliers and squeeze, the pliers, which are apparently double jointed, buckle and you can no longer apply any squeezing power to the item in the jaws. They proved useless to me today when trying to crimp some wires together. Anyway, all the other tools lock into place like they’re supposed to, but it takes a little work to unlock a tool. You need to open a neighboring tool to just the right position, and then both tools can be closed together. Lastly, I’m not thrilled about how tight the tool is when it comes to opening and closing it. Yes, the price is super amazing, and if you don’t need functioning pliers, then this tool is a steal. However, I feel I need to buy a better multi tool now so my pliers won’t just be for looks, but will actually function as they should.

Built very solid!!
I've owned a few multi-tools over the years, and was looking for one to keep in my emergency bag, and one for the car. I thought I'd take a chance for $20 and was surprised by the quality. The tool is built very solid. It's slightly heavier than others I've owned. Seems like the extra weight comes from the solid cast and machined scales (Handle area) thereby stiffening the entire tool? All of the tools seem to be of high quality. The pliers have a spring in them so you can use them one handed and not worry about pinching a finger in them while opening and closing them. Which is a problem I've had with tools before. Every tool on it locks, and is easy to unlock. Even the scissors! Sheath is nice enough. It says it's polyester, and the part where the tool sits has some sort of stiffener behind the polyester to keep the sheath in shape. Oh, and all of the tools can be opened from the outside without having to flip the tool open first. Nice!

Great value for the money!
I've carried one of my two Leatherman waves for twenty years. When my daughter expressed interest in a multi-tool to spend her money on I helped her with the research. We chose this one based on price and reviews. After getting it in the mail, I went through each tool on it. First impressions are that its very tight to open when new. I imagine with use it will wear in like my leathermans have over time. The handles feel sturdy and definitely do not have flex when gripping. The jaws are just fine for what they are. The pliers handles are spring loaded to stay open for easy one-handed use. a feature that my leathermans do not have. The scissors also have a spring to keep them open when in use. The only thing I dislike is the lock system for the in handle tools. It is too tough for my 8 year old to pry the lock back when attempting to close any of the tools. Hopefully they will wear in. You can make it easier by slightly opening another tool on the same handle to push the lock back slightly allowing you an easier push on the lock to fold in both tools. For the money, I will likely put one in each vehicle and the boat.
