The shoe cabinet Loret V2 is the ideal shoe storage solution for smaller hallways. It is equipped with two drop leaf doors and a drawer above them. Behind each drop leaf door there are two rows for storing shoes. In total you can store up to 8 pairs of shoes in this cabinet, depending on the size and shape of the shoes. On top of the cabinet there is decorative glass panel which can also be illuminated with the optional LED lighting. The shoe cabinet has a matt, melamine covered carcass (top, sides, glass support and front skirting) in the trendy colour white. The front is made of MDF and is available in either high gloss or in wood grain optic; both with rounded edges. The surfaces in wood grain optics in Avola-Champagne, Avola-Anthracite, Rough-sawn Oak and Mali-Wenge present a subtle wooden structure. The handles are made of silver plastic. The assembling tools are made of metal and ensure a firm installation. For more stability and endurance telescopic slides made of metal are used for the drawer. In order to give the unit more stability you need to fix it to the wall with the included attachments. An easy to follow assembly instruction ensures a straight forward self-assembly of the unit.Measurements of the shoe cabinet (WxHxD): 46 x 104 x 23

It's quite good but not perfect.
It's quite good but not perfect.Pros:Looks goodFits in small places - no other she cabinet I have seen has these dimensions which was my main reason or buyingSmall Drawer for your keys etcRoom for quite a few shoes, NOT boots.Cons:Quite cheap, not Ikea cheap but not the best quality in the wordOverpriced at £109, should be less, but I presume as it came from over Germany way, it maybe the hidden carriage charges we pay for.Tips:It is a bit of a pain to put together but not impossible, just take your time and use your noggin, place all the screws in size order on the floor to use the correct one as per illustration.I used a Stanley knife to cut off the rough edges of plastic as they can interfere with the drawer opening fluidly. You will need two people to put the bottom draws in as they need to be elevated carefully to screw them into position. You may think that you are missing pieces, some of the bits are attached the the plastic drawer sides, just cut them out, I used some wire cutters.

Beauty is only surface deep!
Once this is assembled it looks lovely (perhaps even verging on expensive) and functions moderately well - although struggles to fit anything other than low-heeled shoes. Even running trainers are enough of a squash that you have to angle them diagonally, which occupies an entire half of one of the two drawers. I'm not sure but this squash may be because mine is installed right against a hard wall, so there is no extra room for the shoes to slightly hang out of the back. So don't expect to get 4 pairs of shoes in each drawer unless they are all very low, or maybe if you are installing somewhere which has a bit of extra room at the back.Unfortunately there are more caveats: the build quality is poor and assembly is very hard - as others have already noted the instructions are distinctly unhelpful. I was very lucky that my uncle who is a pro woodworker with decades of experience volunteered to assemble it, and he had a horrible time but got there in the end. Here are some tips from him in case they help others with assembly:The plastic handles break if screwed up firmly, so tighten very lightly. Don't glue dowels in unless you're totally sure that they're in the right place and have bought spare ones (diagrams are ambiguous). Better not to glue them in. Don't put drawer runners in to the front of the cabinet (as shown in the illustration) but 0.75in back using the first hole in the runner, otherwise the drawer won't close. They need to be the right way round so that the 2 runner locking screws can be fixed from inside the drawer.Having said all that, now it's installed I love the way it looks, and it's really nice having my most frequently used shoes neatly hidden away but easily accessible. So I don't regret the purchase (yet - only 24 hours in so far!) If you're not a DIY expert then be prepared to put in some sweat into assembling it, or maybe consider getting a pro to do it for you instead.

Looks amazing! It is also very thin great for small hall and entrances! I was looking everywhere for something thin and tall that it doesn't look cheap. It fits lots of shoes and it is very elegant, I placed a candle holder and a photo frame on top for decor and I use the first drawer for keys and letters etc.

Just what we wanted.
Bought this last week. It is the perfect fit for a small space which was the reason for buying. As this was the only model available (we checked out numerous retailers and nothing came close to the size we needed) . Arrived 3 days early which was a bonus. We unpacked it and upon inspection realised that this was no easy task primarily because all the screws etc were all in one bag. It took us a while sorting through them plus added pressure of realising this was going to take longer than anticipated and we had people coming over for nibbles and drinks (oh no!!). Anyway put heads together and we achieved it with 40 mins to spare BUT so very pleased with the results. It looks great and now the clutter of shoes is a thing of the past. Smart and stylish. Price good. Agreed that only ankle boots (ladies) will fit in and larger shoes might be a problem ie size 11. But for us it's perfect. The only thing I would recommend to the manufacturers would be to separate the screws and other paraphernalia into a small sectioned plastic bag with their respective identifying numbers printed on. This would make the task much simpler . Other than that 5 out of 5.

Don’t waste your money, as I did. Terrible!
The display pictures on Amazon are great. Good job on that. The item is nothing like advertised. I never learn my lesson. If you want something decent, go and buy something decent.Takes ages to install. If the designer of this item had a hidden camera in our room and watch people trying to assemble this I bet he’d had a good laugh. How did you come up with this setup for a shoe rack? “Let’s make the most complicated shoe rack in the world”.The shelves will fall off as soon as you install them.I’m scared to open it to put my shoes in as it will fall apart. Oh... 3 pairs of shoes. That’s it. Squeezed.Don’t waste your money as I did.

A good small shoe cabinet
When the the shoe cabinet arrived I unfortunately had a side panel missing which I wasn't to pleased about. I emailed there customer service and they said they would send me one out asap. I have now received only after a few days. I would say it's pretty fiddly putting together, but once built it's very nice. It is a bit pricey but I think it could be the cost of delivery within the price.Great service tho
