This thing works
What more do you want me to say? It's a perfect replica of an NES controller with a USB connection. I have this hooked up to my Mac and if I feel like unwinding after a hard day's work with a round of Punch-Out!! or Metroid, I just fire up the NES emulator and I'm off to the races.Anyone who says the build quality of this isn't the same as a real-deal NES controller is a little bit of a mutant. This thing is super cheap and NES controllers weren't the watermark of mankind's inventive mind so lets all just agree that for a few bucks you can play an 8-bit game on your computer and that's all that needs to be said.Bonus Review: I re-downloaded a game from my youth that has haunted me for years. It's called Mighty Bomb Jack and I thought that if I got this game AND cheated with the Game Genie download I could finally put it to rest. No. I still can't beat it. So just to prevent myself from throwing the controller off the screen (which was a childhood move that I used to love) I'm going to just calmly walk away. That game is impossible and there is no need to have maddening circus music playing nonstop either. That's just cruel and unusual.

works pretty good with some minor issues
Everything worked well once I got it configured. I had to configure the controller to the game emulator which wasn't a big deal but when I went to the controller info where it tells you what the button numbers are, I had to use one number less. For example, the A and B button were marked 1 and 2 on the controller screen itself. You push the button and the button number lights up on the controller screen. When I set it up with my emulator and tried those numbers the buttons didn't work right. Through trial and error I found the correct corresponding numbers for the buttons and got it to work. The down on the plus pad needs a little more than normal pressure to work everytime. Now that it is configured everything is good and game play is pretty sweet. The old classic games bring back some memories. It has been years and sometimes I feel like I picked right up from yesterday. Worth the small price it cost to not have to use a keyboard.

Crap
I don't trust these reviews on here. I just got mine today and I can tell you its the flimsiest, crapiest quality controller I've ever held in my hands. Doesn't feel anything like the real thing. Buttons feel like they are going to fall off any second. These reviews on here look planted. You got one guy saying that hes super happy and that the middle buttons are actually rubber. The middle buttons are not rubber they are plastic. Moreover you have people saying that this controller is not a Tomee controller but actually a Retrolink controller which is also completely false. This is indeed a Tomee controller. This was probably some attempt by Tomee to slander Retrolink. If you look up the retrolink controller it has their brand name written on the controller and this one clearly doesn't. If you are going to get an NES controller, I've heard good things about the retrolink, haven't tried it but the reviews that I read for it have been good. Don't get this one, it is utter crap.

Does not work with any of my games!
I should have thought a little more about this product before I purchased it. I love the old Nintendo controller, and when I saw this product at such a good price, I bought it on impulse without really thinking too much about what sort of games I could use the controller for. Let me just say that my poor review really has little to do with the product itself, or its functions. I am sure if I had some old Nintendo games on my computer, this controller would work perfectly well... and my low rating would probably be much higher. However, virtually no game made anymore can function with an old style controller as most games use both mouse and keyboard and therefore require more functions than a retro controller can provide. For some reason, I had pictured playing DOOM style games with an old retro controller, and thought that would be really awesome. If I had thought about it... I would have realized I don't actually own any games anymore that I can play using this sort of joystick. My suggestion is... if you have lots of old Nintendo games or Atari sort of 2D games on your computer... this might be a great buy. However... if your looking to play any current games made in this century (any games made since 2000), this might not be a good choice. I wish that more computer games would function with such a controller. Frankly... these new joysticks have gotten too complicated... so it is back to using a keyboard and a mouse for me.

my Tomee works better than my retrolink nes
First off, this is not the controller in the picture, but that being said it actually works better than my retrolink nes controller. It seems like it's just the luck of the draw with these controllers. I don't know the validity of the other reviews, but based on the reviews i was worried i had bought a decorative hunk of plastic so i quickly bought a retrolink. they ended up coming at the same time. I tried out the retrolink first and found it very unresponsive the with a and b buttons. I thought for sure the tomee would be worse, but i plugged it in a gave it a try. i think all i had to do was adjust the dead zone on the d-pad in the emulator and it's been working great. The only issue I've found is that i have to distinguish the direction on the d-pad a bit more than you'd naturally expect. could be my hands haven't gotten too big for my childhood controller. I apologize if this review sounds a bit repetitive and a bit of a ramble, but this is a good controller that as far as i can tell is getting a bad wrap. From what I've read you might still get a dud, but I'm only going on my experience.the tldr: WORKS FOR ME, RETROLINK NOT SO MUCH

Controller Nes
Il controller esegue alla perfezione i suoi compiti.L'unica pecca è il materiale, un po' scadente.Penso che ci siano "cloni" di qualità migliore.

Awesome Product
Love this device, and you can't beat the price. It works on my PC right away using JNES, works on my Minix Neo 8H with some config, works on my Sony Xperia Tablet Z with John NES. Going to try it out with my Raspberry PI this weekend. Only bad is that the directional pad is pretty sensitive and takes a little getting use to. People who are complaining are expecting brand name quality at dollar store prices. The bottom line is that it works, it's affordable, and it arrived ahead of schedule.
