LOVE. Of all the baby gear purchases I’ve made, this may be my favorite. 10/10 for reliability, convenience and versatility. It’s well-made. It’s grown with our baby for the past 18 months: crawling, to scaling the stairs, and now blocking the hallway from the rest of the house as she transitions to a toddler bed. We use it tirelessly and it’s withstanding the test of time. There are a couple things to consider, but my overall experience has been one of convenience and ease.The locking mechanism takes diligence to ensure safety. If you have guests that will be operating the gate it’s important they understand they have to push the locking button down after securing the gate, otherwise your babe could push right through to whatever lies beyond. If this makes you nervous, you may want to look at other options. With that said, the lock has never failed and we use it tirelessly every day. For such a low profile and minimalist gate, I’m personally impressed with its reliability.We originally installed the gate at the top of our stairs. We used the second set of brackets on our deck (this thing expands further than a lot of the options I saw online). When we contacted the company for a third set of brackets, they sent it to us free of charge. We’re now waiting on a fourth set to secure the hallway. Each time we’ve contacted them they’ve been extremely helpful. Stellar customer service.If you like to eliminate as much work for yourself as possible, this is a great product.

Easy to install, looks and works great! The material is great quality and easy to clean!The retraction is perfect, so easy to do.I use them to keep my very large breed dogs out of certain areas and the height is perfect to keeping them secure!Highly recommend!

Wasn’t sure about quality based on some of the reviews, but this has worked out great. I have it in a 67” opening (almost the max of 71”). Not hard to install & convenient to use! It’s also easy to wipe clean.The lock can easily be turned between lock / unlock. (Push down, turn, release.) The lock stays in whatever position you put it so I DO NOT NEED 2 HANDS to open /close.I put up the 2nd set of hooks at an adjacent spot so that we can stretch the gate to either set of hooks depending on what areas we’d like to block off. I have it installed very low to the ground & my 8 lb cat doesn’t get through. But I could see how a small pet could get under if it was a little higher & not locked to allow extra give.I have two 14 month olds and the gate has held up well even with them pushing on it together! (Just make sure to turn lever to locked position so it doesn’t allow any “give”.) I don’t think it’s able to “pop off / open” if it’s correctly installed & locked. Still, not sure I’d use a more flexible gate like this at the top of the stairs.Quality is good, ease of use is good, price is good. I love that we can have the area open & only extend the gate when needed! I can even extend & hook the gate while holding a baby & coralling the 2nd baby with the gate as I stretch it across!

We're a family with 4 kids, dogs, and cats, these gates are used multiple times a day and are still holding up. Out of the 4 gates we have, this one is by far the worst off, mostly from when the animals have attempted to jump over them, or the big kids try to step/climb over them, and it's causing the gate to slowly rip out, but it's still just as effective at closing off the stairs.As you can see we had to build a box around the railing of the stairs in order to install it, but it was very simple to do, and has held up wonderfully since.You will have to open/close the gates for everyone though, even people who regularly come to our house are baffled by it and unable to get by. As an added feature if someone uses it incorrectly, it makes a very loud ratcheting sound that we call the mischief alarm.

Seriously the best baby gate! Supper easy to install, and use, and it looks very nice and evern when notnin use. We use this gate to keep our very busy 1 year old out of the kitchen. We have an open floor plan the space between our living room and kitchen is larger then most doorways, this gate fit the bill perfectly. Its sturdy enough to were my son can lean and pull on it, and it doesn't move much. I was a little concerned that he might be able to slide under the gate, but as long as you put the lock on that's not possible. I really like that it comes with extra mounting hardwear, we put an extra set of mounts down in our basement so we can put the gate down there and keep our baby off the stairs. The gate detaches simply with a push of a button and slides right back into the wallmounts, very convenient. We're thinking about ording another one to use outside on our back deck. It also works well for our dogs as well, win win lol
