Martin MA140 Authentic Acoustic - SP - 80/20 Bronze Light ( 12-54 )

Great strings but they do go off quite quickly, however they have a great tone when new and give good resonance.

Martin strings for Acoustic & Acoustic/Electric are the best available for the money--used by many Pro Guitarists as well as amateurs--I've previously used "Ernie Ball"Slinky 10's on my Yamaha APX600 Pro model but these SP-80/20 last longer & definitely keep in tune during longer spells of playing time

I thought I'd try these on my electro acoustic guitar based on the brand and relatively low price. My previous strings were D'Addario EXL110BT 10-46 's Nickel wound (admittedly Electric Strings - not acoustic). The Martins sound good to be fair, but not as forgiving on the fingers and they are awkward - not slinky in any way, despite the gauge. Quite a lot of fret slide squeak. They also hate being bent. Pressing chords is a lot harder than with D'Addarios. I gave longevity 4 stars but I don't think I'll keep them on my electro acoustic that long really. I might add that I'm a blues rock player and so play a lot of bends in my style. Perhaps if your'e just playing chords with strong fingers and are a purist for pure acoustic tone then these may suit you.

A set of strings you can trust will improve any half decent guitar well recommended

i have tried many strings over the years, many brands high end expensive ones etc but these are by far the best i have ever played, they have really transformed my acoustic for some reason they are so comfortable to play compared to others i have used, i don t know why maybe they require less tension to bring them to tune. from now on i will only use these strings. excellent delivery time and well packaged.

I bought these strings and they were a little more expensive than what I usually buy BUT they are definitely worth it because you’re getting the highest quality which means premium sound.

Well it was kinda an emergency when I bought these, had a gig on Friday night, it was Wednesday night I was going through our song list and tuning up, then twang there went the g string. Order another set right away as I knew I wouldn't have time to swung by a local store. Anyways, different than I usually go with, a little brighter than I thought but hold a good sustain, and sound great when I'm playing. Good bang for your buck. Will buy again.
