The camera was extremely easy to connect to my IPhone as well as to my windshield. I do wish it came with a suction cup mount instead of a sticky mount. The camera records in 3 minute clips, when I want to save a recording it allows me to cut out any part of the 3 minute clip and only save the part that I want to save to my phone. This makes it really easy to download and save a 30 second recording without using very much memory on my phone. I was not able to download the 17 sec and 14 sec video clips for this review. However I have attached screenshots of the clips.

I compared video out of the Yi Ultra to this nightscape and the Ultra come out on top by a landslide. As another review has said, this nightscape is not able to record license plates well during the day. That said the night mode is much better on the the nightscape; I can see inside my dark garage with the nightscape and the Ultra is just black.

I received this little dash cam last week, and can't wait to try this out over the weekend. I love this wide angle view and cystal clear video images. Will recommend this product to everyone. This is a great buy!

How this product is so highly recieved is beyond me, I regret buying this product at it's price! You literally cannot see a cars licence plate when you're behind them at a stop it's seriously that bad! What's the point of a dash cam if you can't catch the person you're supposed to catch!

I have been using this YI Nightscape dash camera for over a week. Installation is easy and video is clear in both day and night. Connecting the device with mobile app over wifi is also easy. The mobile app is very helpful to review the video at any time. I highly recommend this dash camera.

This is my 4th Yi camera and have owned 3 other brands. Just want to say a head of time I know how to properly install dash cams.I saw the Nightscape and decided to upgrade from the standard Yi for better picture quality and the more durable capacitor battery, even though it is twice as munch, and intended to install my old Yi in the rear window. Opening the box it still seem to have the overall quality packing and the camera looks very nice and the black color adds to the stealthiness.The installation went well as all I basically had to do was plug it in the the existing wiring of the old camera (same size connectors. On start up, it was easy to set up my preferences and the time and date. It connected with my new iphone SE just fine.It was here I started to have problems. While I was connected to the camera with my iphone, I could not acess the video on the camera, or the clips that it had just taken. I tried restarting everything from scratch, but no progress. I just started to seek help on line but there is nothing on their general questions lists that fit my problem.I took off one star for each problem. I update this as things happen . . . or not.

Got this delivered on Tuesday. Was very satisfied for 3 days. Minor firmware tweaks needed.Day 4 (Saturday). UP IN SMOKE!All was working fine, screensaver was showing the time.....and then.... a HUGE puff of smoke shot out the side. Shot out about a foot.Looks like it killed a new U3 wild-card as well.Burnt electronics stinks bad!

Night mode sucks it’s all lies!! Couldn’t see license plate even when I slowly creeped up to car

Very good for general use, plug it in, drive, get to destination, take it out. Took me a while to sort out how to download from camera to smartphone, and that was via a separate power cable and adapter at home.

DASHCAM. Its just ok but eaten through the micro sd card in 1 month.Is that the card or the cam ? pny sd 64Mb
