To be honest, for the price I wasn't expecting too much, but was I wrong!I used these initially up my local hills, in the mud, to see how I could walk with them really, and they seemed great, but having just used them on a recent trip to Reykjavik, Iceland, they certainly did the job and then some! A couple of trips were very snowy/icy, and lots of people were slipping and falling a lot but not me, these spikes kept me upright alnday long, and even when I was walking on less icy tracks they haven't even bent (even under my weight 🤣) so I'd highly recommend these spikes. A great addition to my walking pack

Recently tried these for the first time doing 2 munros the other day in very snowy and icy conditions. I bought these after a recent hike up a mountain where the paths back down were very icy and spoke to others who were making it down no problem and these were what they were using.They are very easy to put and are secure once on your boots even without using the strap that is included. I felt safe and secure and was able to do an ascent that I could never have tackled without the extra grip these provide.I would definitely recommend these for anyone looking for extra grip in sloppy conditions even for dog walking or general winter walking they are brilliant.

I purchased these for fishing. This time of year the banks with slopes are very slippery and I often slip while carrying my box to the fishing platform. These are like 4 wheel drive, the level of extra traction is amazing. One of the best things I have purchased to enable me to avoid injury in slippery conditions. I am certain that they will be great in ice and snow conditions as well.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  They have been great in snow but a few friends told me they’d be ineffective on black ice , well they were WRONG - these are superb ! It rained earlier and treacherous black ice is everywhere , pulled these on and away I went ! Be safe , be smart and buy a pair now !

Tried these out today, did the job. my last pair of cramps where £60.00. so i thought these might be a risk.They where ok, before next outing i will remove a link from the rear chains but apart from that, good job at a cheap price, scrambled down the front of Man Tor today, in the snow, no concerns about my feet at all. Good Cramp on, good Price.. my friend who has a shallow softer boot that flexes removed a link from all 8 connecting points and they did the job today..

I bought these as a replacement for a pair of Kahtoola Microspikes that went missing in a house move. Kahtoola MS are currently retailing for around £50 a pair! But these came up as an Amazon equivalent, and at £20 I thought I'd give them a go.They seem pretty much identical to Kahtoola MS apart from being perhaps a little tighter to get on your boots (I bought an xl pair for my UK size 10s) and these are bright orabge rather than the pinky red Kahtoola variant they are replacing. So not the most fashionable looking things but then these are for wearing in the mountains in winter.They've had a quick test up the street as it's compacted snow and ice currently, and they seem ok!They also come with their own carry pouch, and a pair of straps to secure them further to your boot should you wish. Good item

These do exactly what I wanted them to. They are great in icy conditions. They give a sure footed grip on ground that would otherwise be very difficult to walk on. I've only had them for a week so as of yet cannot comment on durability, though they appear sturdy.They are not pretty but they are very suited to their function. I remove them before going inside anywhere and it only takes seconds.I would definitely recommend these.

Really a no brainer for the money, they give much more traction and confidence than just a normal boot. When the going gets tough tho the ice tends to cling to them and they sag a little, requiring a bit of adjustment every now and then. But still great quality and handy to have for a few quid. I'd buy them again
