Not long enough to go inside collar for larger people
Disappointed.There are few offerings for a balaclava with a full face opening, this being one of two I've found that aren't "warming"This fits very snugly on my 7-3/4" sized head - Too tight to be comfortable in the sun for the want of UPF protection to increase comfort. Meh.The neck length just makes it to my shirt so if I bend over I lose the protection between the back of my head and my back.It appears well sewn out of a very nice fabric, at least there's thatIt's probably good for kids and people in the sub 5'8" sub 165# range.(I'm 6'2" and 250)

Exactly as advertised, getting used to
I like the product, I bought to try to keep my hair around my mask from getting so tangled which it did help, but as someone who has never used a hood while diving it is definitely going to take some getting used to

Serves it’s purpose, color not as pictured
The price is good and it served its purpose, HOWEVER I specifically picked this purple because is matched my BC. It is NOT the color shown. It a deep, dark purple (plum colored maybe). That was disappointing but I needed it the next day, so I just kept it.

Really soft fabric, keeps head warm for hours underwater
much better than thin lycra, this is lined with some fleecy material, makes it warmer

Not as expected
The one good thing about this hood is that it’s lightweight. Apart from that, there’s nothing else: First, it’s not long enough to get sufficient coverage on the back of the neck, so if you’re wearing it alone, as was my intention, it won’t suffice. Second, it’s rather tight around the face, though fits well elsewhere; unfortunately, just having it on a few seconds makes for an uncomfortable experience, and I don’t have sensory issues.

worked great. so the purple gets 2 stars
I bought two of these. The solid purple one is a thicker material than the multi colored one. The purple doesn't stay on, slips right off my head.The multi colored one fits well. It holds your hair in place. I used it to keep my hair back while putting on a 7mm dive hood, worked great.so the purple gets 2 stars. Multi gets 5 stars.

Added bit of warmth
I just wanted a thin hood as I find even 3mm hoods quite restrictive and was not sure at 17-20oC water if I really needed it. Used it a couple of times, did take the chill off the head. Have also used it in the UK as an "underhood" so I can now get away with a 3mm instead of a thick 5mm hood. Priced a bit high in my opionion and no UK buying option :-(
