Killed Ants
Unfortunately this product killed half of a very healthy Florida carpenter ant colony.I gave them access to the urea dissolved in liquid feed and in pure form powdered on a dead roach. They carried the crystals around and were highly attracted to it. The ants began to appear to overdose. The colony is over two years old and never have I seen them die like this. Very messy like they liquified where they died. I did a complete clean of the outworks and hive once most had retreated into a water tube.I love this company. I use other chemicals they make. I would guess I overdosed them.I suggest you use this for the garden. Not insects. Use sparingly to not burn roots.

like a dark green shag carpet
This absolutely works for lawns. I read all of the reviews a few times, and researched it, and then bought the one pound for my front yard and the five pound for my bigger back yard. I applied it like I was cooking and added a pinch of salt. Within two weeks my grass was dark green and super thick. Where my yard butts up against my neighbors there is a dramatic difference in the lawn. But as another review said: be prepared to cut. My lawn would look like it needed cutting about every 6-7 days before applying. Now it goes about 4-5 and it could use a cut. I still cut on the 6th or seventh day but man it grows fast. I did end up doing two applications for each yard, which I think is perfect. I didn't want to use weed and feed because I have dogs and this got rid of the weeds so I'm happy.

Nitrogen Ammendment
I am experimenting with mulching my garden over the winter...with saw dust/urea/lime. Plain sawdust will leach nitrogen from the soil. It's also acidic. So for mulching use I'm adding some lime and urea. 4 oz lime: 1.5 oz urea per 10 lbs sawdust.
