Soft, highly absorbent, fast-drying, compact and lightweight - ideal for travel, backpacking, gym...
We first tried a microfibre towel out of curiosity over 10 years ago, were instantly converted to their benefits and have used them ever since, both at home and on our frequent travels. This Jonhen towel is the latest, an unknown brand, but virtually the same product albeit at a lower price while offering the same light weight, low bulk, high absorbency and fast-drying features making it ideal for camping, travel, taking to a gym, pool or for use on a beach or to replace traditional Terry cotton towels at home.I received the medium size, ie 101 x 51cm approx and, as a keep backpacker, bikepacker and year-round camper where weight and bulk are important I was pleased to note its low weight of 136g and compact size of 14x13x3cm when folded for stuffing into my bike panniers. In comparison, a relatively thin cotton towel of the same size folds to 23x14x8cm and weighs 230g (see uploaded photos) yet offers the less absorbency than this Jonhen towel. The Jonhen microfibre towel feels so soft against the skin, and the skin dries effortlessly almost as soon as the towel makes contact. No rubbing is required with microfibre towels, instead just pat them gently against the skin or, in the case of a larger bath-size towel, wrap yourself up in it and your skin will be dry in minutes. After use, the towel dries fast, even without any heat source and, if it's not possible to hang it to dry immediately (a hanging loop is stitched to one side for convenience) then it can be folded back into its ventilated carrying pouch for a day or two and, unlike cotton towels, won't become a soggy mess with a stale mouldy odour. Similarly, it is quick and easy to wash (avoid using fabric conditioner) either by machine or by hand, and air-dries quickly without any need for tumble drying. We still have our original towels which is testament to their longevity and as these are made from the same polyester microfibre, I have no doubts that this towel will also enjoy many years of service and greatly outlast the cotton Terry towels. Highly recommended without hesitation and excellent value for money

Good sports/travel towel, hanging loop, odd size. Useful carry pouch. Ugly stitching
This is a slightly odd sized towel, but well-designed and still very useful. These microfibre towels are surprisngly absorbent and really useful, both for travel and sports. The towel has a useful, well attached hanging loop to suspend from a changing room hook, and it also comes with its own sturdy, mesh-ventilated bag.Don't expect drying miracles from one of these, but they do take water from hair and body, and will get you dry. This one is a bit bigger than a hand towel, and smaller than a small sized bath towel, but it still does the trick, The green colour helps you to spot it easily in the changing room. These things wash easily, and take up no room in the washing machine. Useful and practical. The bag also comes with its own hanging loop, and is well made. The towel is blanket stitched on the raw edging, mine with a grey thread, not perhaps the most visually attractive, (and hence four stars) but at least it won't be fraying.

Easily carried, highly absorbent and soft on the skin
Anyone using a gym, taking a spin class or other exercise regimes will need a towel to absorb the perspiration from those activities but otherwise after a shower or upon exiting a pool. Terry towelling can be bulky and heavy, especially when damp, but these "Jonhen Quick Dry Travel Towel with Carry Bag, Ultra Compact Microfiber Towel Fast Dry, Super Absorbent, Antibacterial, Soft, Lightweight, Best For Bath, Beach, Gym, Fitness,Travel, Camp, Swimming" are microfibre, at least as absorbent while also being thinner, lighter and easier to carry especially as an appropriately sized carry-bag is supplied with each. A damp towel need not therefore be in direct contact with anything else.Available in six colours, including light and dark grey, plus blue, green, purple and red with the last four in rather vivid tones. They are also offered in six sizes according to individual or situational requirements - 12 x 24, 16 x 32, 20 x 40, 24 x 47, 30 x 60 and 40 x 72 inches and, as they are so compact and easily carried, there may be reasons to own two or more sizes for different needs. It was the 20 x 40 that was supplied in bright green. The two smaller sizes are probably ideal to use during and after sports activities to absorb perspiration from hands and face while the two largest will be suitable for use after shower or swimming, on the beach or as a body wrap. The intermediate ones may have a place in the car or caravan, especially when kids are involved in a journey. There are other activities where one could prove ideal not least by cyclists and motorcyclists for whom riding immediately after rain and snow invariably means sitting on a wet bike seat - an old tea towel was the best available option when in that situation many years ago although far from ideal as it could then soak other items carried, but microfibre is far superior with or without the included bag. Each towel has a hanging loop for convenience and the bag is partly of a open mesh fabric, but mostly a closely woven fabric in polyester or other man-made fabric and with a simple carry handle. Prices obviously vary according to size, all reasonably priced with the largest under £20 currently and the smallest under £4.Although small when packed in the bag these are extremely thick and absorbent and, unlike traditional cotton towels, they are always soft on the skin. It is preferred that they be washed before first serious use to remove any excess dye, loose fibres etc. They also dry very quickly after moderate use, or laundering followed by a tumble dry, especially in a warm room and usually within a few hours. As with other microfibre materials, fabric conditioners are best avoided and there are other standard care 'don't's for microfibre although there are no included instructions in this instance.
