Easy to Load, Great Sound
I got my MP3 player about three weeks ago--WOW. i am no expert in tech stuff--but this was easy to load and it has the capacity for hundreds of songs. The loading itself only took about 20 minutes--and the sound is quite good. Even when you turn it down, the sound maintains its integrity--and I listen to old school jazz when I run and that requires a fairly sensitive system. I have gone through three MP3 players in the last year and half--they were all a pain to operate or a pain to recharge and never kept their battery life as long as advertised. This does all that--It could use a clip or something to fasten it to your shirt--but my running shirts have pockets and that does just fine. I am glad I found this--my son, a computer coder, recommended the brand and I am glad I listened to him..

You have been warned!
I thought I should write an actual review based on my experience with this so far. Hopefully no one can now say they weren't warned!Everything started out great and I can agree with other reviewers in that the battery life is great, sound is good (plus it has an external speaker), and 16gb can hold a lot of music. Now the bad:Within a month of use, the headphone jack started getting messed up. You could plug in the headphones, but music would also play through the speaker at the same time. Then the buttons stopped working, or would only sometimes work if you pushed really hard, but that doesn't seem to be good to do for the device.I would definitely send this back if I could. Even at the price I paid, I expected it to last a lot longer than just a month. Unfortunately the window to return it closed conveniently a week before the issues started.I would also state that if you are getting this to watch videos, be prepared to convert everything you own to a format that no one uses in the US. This only plays .amv files which are mainly used in China. This does not do auto conversion for you so you will have to find your own video converter. From my experience, even if you convert it to .amv, it still doesn't work when you put the file on the device.

Sturdily built, nice display, excellent audio, and easy to set up and use.
I have had several 20 dollar MP3 players and they all had inconvenient shortcomings that relegated them to the shelf eventually. The Cocopa MP3 player is in a completely different league from my previous entry-level players and its performance and ease of use make it a pleasure to use.Loading it up with my MP3 library was as simple as plugging in the provided USB cable and using Windows file explorer to copy and paste (or drag and drop) the songs I wanted to the built-in 16GB internal SD. I very much like that you can choose to organize the MP3 files into folders and play folders of songs rather than having to rely on generating playlists. If you wish, it does support playlists as well as playing by album, artist, genre, or you can choose all songs. After loading it up with your media files, the Cocopa MP3 player will take a moment to scan the drive to see what you added and when it's done you are good to go.Navigating the menu system is pretty intuitive and I confess to not bothering to look at the 26 page manual for the first couple of days. Even if you've never used an MP3 player before, you can probably figure it out in a few minutes as the icons used in the display indicate the functions very well. I have not used the Voice Recorder or the E-Book features and probably never will so I can't comment on how well they work. I did try out the FM receiver and it worked quite well but I bought this player primarily to work as a media source for my home stereo system so I doubt I will use that feature either. The internal speaker is not unpleasant to listen to but with decent headphones it will definitely make you smile. The player connected without fuss to the Bluetooth 4.2 receiver that I use with my 1995 vintage Onkyo amplifier and it runs the home audio system for hours without any anomalies. There are some pre-set EQ profiles provided in the setup menu (Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Classical, and Electronic) but I opted to use the Custom EQ feature and was able to get my home audio system to sound the way I like it. Note that when you are connected with Bluetooth the internal speaker is automatically silenced. Very nice!Battery life is exceptional and the 40 hour playtime claim seems to be pretty much spot on. Charging with the supplied USB cable by using any available USB port in your car, computer or USB AC wall supply is about as convenient as it gets.CONS: Only two that I could see but they are not an issue for my uses.1. I read all the Amazon reviews for the Cocopa MP3 player and found one reviewer mentioned that the beginning of each song was cut off with the music starting 2 seconds into the file. I did not find that to be true when the internal SD was used, however, when I added a micro SD into the expansion slot any songs I put onto that drive did start at 2 seconds into each track. This is not a problem for me as the internal 16GB SD is plenty big for my uses, but this could be annoying if you plan to expand the storage space with an additional drive.2. I had about a dozen songs in MP3 format that were mono. They sounded fine when played through the internal speaker or when listening with headphones, but they distorted badly when played through the bluetooth 4.2 connection. Note that this could be my bluetooth receiver misbehaving but I have no way to test that. I simply re-encoded those files to stereo on my computer, deleted the mono versions on the player, and then pushed the re-encoded stereo MP3 files to the Cocopa player and that solved the problem.

Very good product.
I like this product a lot, and I have had a lot of fun with it, here are some of the features I like.Has an alarm clock that I can put my own recordings on, or my songs that I like to wake me up in the morning. Has a super long battery lifetime, for such a small device. I have had it for three days and of those days it was on the whole time without having to be recharged. It has a nice external speaker, and it can be the loudest that it can be with no distortion! Has 16 GB of internal storage, and can have a maximum of 64 GB put on it with card. Nice high quality little thing. It feels very sturdy when you hold it.You can change the style of the music that you are playing to funk, hip hop, jazz, and a lot more. Has 16 GB of internal storage, and can have a maximum of 64 GB put on it with card. Nice high quality little thing. It feels very sturdy when you hold it. You can tune into fm radio, and listen from channels all the way from 87.5 to 108.0. You can play eBooks that are in their own little section. And my favorite thing is that you can connect a Bluetooth device to this thing. There is one thing that you must note though. This player only had 4.1 Bluetooth, and will only work with speakers that have 4.1 Bluetooth and below, not vice versa.

Great value for the price.
It is what I needed and at the right price. It gets the job done. The directions don't tell you how to load music onto the player but I figured it out. I opened the player while plugged into my computer and created a folder called music, then dragged and dropped music from my computer to that folder on the player and the player did the rest.the players built in speaker is surprisingly loud. it actually startled me the first time it played.

Easy to use
Works well, easy to load songs from Computer, can create playlists, can also play songs from folders the songs are stored in.Only negative is that the song names are cutoff when browsing songs to play or add to a playlist and the name doesn’t scroll across to screen so you can see the whole song title. The name of the song does scroll across the screen when your playing the song, a bit late though, if a song has a long title you have to play It to see what it is. Apart from that great product.
