Can i eat the first years apples that have grown

This is my trees 1st season so I'm not expecting fruit but if by chance I did get 1 or 2 I would definatley eat them

If I bought this for a gift in late October how would they need to keep it over winter so it survives?

As mine is in a plant pot I have kept mine in my greenhouse with all this rain we having I don't want it to rot if planting outside in the garden should be fine not sure about the frost thou

Is this tree self fertile or do I need another for pollination?

I bought this tree last year as a tiny sprig grafted to a root and planted it in a large pot in home made compost. It is doing well and I pruned it at the end of the year and cut the top off. It is too early to say if there will be any apples by hope so as it might take a couple of years. I also purchased a plum tree from the same company and that is doing well both about 5ft tall now. How tall does this mini fruit tree get?

Not quite sure but if you contact seller before you buy they should be able to let you know, all my fruit tree I prune to keep to the hight I want some branches I turn down woods as they grow easier to pick the fruit
