Completely false advertised product
I am handicapped with very poor grip in both hands. This product completely collapsed into a very small hole when sliding the sock over it; so small that I couldn't get my toes into the small hole. I needed help to even get my toes alined inside the sock. Then, I couldn't slide my foot into my sock at all. This was a horrible experience for me. Some help this offered! What could make things worse? The produce is not returnable. The ad doesn't say that but when I tried to return it a message popped up saying, "this produce is not returnable". I suppose it has to do with ones foot touching the product, etc but I wish they had said that in their ad.I contacted Amazon & they refunded my purchase.

Poorly Constructed, Too Flexible
This might work for children's socks and women's smallest sizes, but the plastic [with slippery fabric on one side, felt-like fabric on the opposite side] is too flexible to stretch sufficiently the socks or stockings. For compression stockings, it is much too flimsy. Occupational therapists teach their patients how to make better sock and stocking aids using recycled bottles. I hope that my review will encourage the development of a similar product with more substantial materials.

Works but can be problematic
This is the 3rd of this product I have purchased. The first worked flawlessly but eventually, the pulls began to show wear and did finally break, rendering it useless. The second device had a very slippery material on its face, which should have been much more coarse to hold the sock in place while putting on. Therefore, I threw it away because it would not hold the sock in place. The 3rd, which is this most current device is holding the sock somewhat better in place but does not hold the sock so well that the sock will not slip off. I'll give it another week of trials but will probably return the product.

Disappointing, poor quality workmanship
This was a replacement for a Sock Aid that I had used daily for the past 5 yrs. It looked identical to the one I had been using, but the quality was no where close. On the 2nd time I used it the stitching at the area where the straps attached started to tear out. On the 3rd time I used it one of the straps tour off. Note I was using baby powder on the inside surface of this sock aid just as I had done with my previous sock aid. So friction should not have been an issue. I needed to get my socks on and had to do a quick work around in order to use it immediately. By drilling holes in the plastic and materials I was able to tie the two straps to the aid and am using it in that condition until I can replace it with another one hopefully with better quality workmanship. I did not return this item since I needed it at the time it broke and I have modified it by drilling holes in it. Disappointing... :(

Success!!
This is the third variety of sock aid that I have bought for my elderly/disabled cousin to help her reclaim some independence. First 2 were too stiff and awkward and she was unable to make them work at all. She used this one for the first time today without any difficulity. It is flexible, has a textured outer surface that the sock "clings" to, and straps to pull with instead of a herd handle. Great product!!!!

Not durable; will be unusable before you get your first sock on.
I have big feet due to various medical diagnoses. I had been using another sock aide (made of hard plastic which was very durable) but my feet had become too big. If you think that buying a bigger model (such as this one) is this answer I have to tell you that it isn’t. What this sock aid offers in terms of being somewhat bigger, it sacrifices in terms of construction and durability. The first time I used it, under the supervision of a physical therapist, it ripped. The PT couldn’t believe it, but I tried it a second time and the other strap on the other side ripped even more easily.

Nylon/Terry cloth are Beneficial........
What I found most useful is the nylon/terry cloth materials used in construction of this particular sock aid. I have also used the aids which have other materials, and have found they do NOT work nearly as well as this one. I will also add, the stitching should be much better and stronger so the seams won’t separate as quickly with EVERY sock aid I have purchased (from several different manufacturers). Maybe the use of heavier duty thread would help longevity and durability.Overall, I feel (due to very affordable price) this sock aid to be an OUTSTANDING product, and recommend to anyone who needs assistance with application of socks due to a difficulty or disability.

Little use yet
I have used the product once since I took It out of the mail box on Sunday. It looks very much like the last one I received on March 29th that had the cloth material rip totally off the plastic during use after only about a month! I got my first aid for total knee replacement in June of 2016 and had to mend (sew) the cloth material on it a couple times, but the thread used was stronger and just had small rips versus total failure like the second one discussed above. After 2 years and about 9 months of use on the first one, the plastic fatigued and broke between the "fingers" and I ordered the second one that lasted about a month! The first one also had the end of the plastic "fingers" rounded; not sure if this increased function, but it gave a neater more professional appearance. In summary to the manufacture of these last two is to use the strongest thread possible to sew the material on to the product as this seems to be the weak point. And secondly, rounding the end of the "fingers" looks better and more professional.

Useless do not buy!
This is extremely stiff plastic, cannot bend properly to fit into sock. Do not buy this item. Personally i have had same as this for years, different company and it works very well, just thought i would get a second one. I did phone company about this stiff useless sock aid, no response!

Fantastic
This product is fantastic. It works perfectly every time. It’s easy to get the device into the socks and it’s super easy to pull the sock onto the foot. You don’t even need to adjust the sock after it’s on. I was so excited that the device worked first time. I was worried that I would have to buy/try many devices before getting one that works. I highly recommend this product.

Poor quality and short product life
Independence is why you buy this type of aid. I purchased this sock aid before knee surgery. Initially it performed adequately although it was clearly not designed for men’s socks. However after only a few weeks use, one strap came off and the other is loose. I depended on this device so that I did not have to ask for assistance and this has failed me

II don't have to bend over ....lol
My sister told me about this stocking aid... I am 77, and some time the hardest thing I do each day, is put on my soxs. I always said ..If I was 1/2 an inch taller, I wouldn't be able to put on my sox… Well this sox aid solved that problem...It is easy to use, and I would recommend this stocking aid to anyone having trouble, putting on their sox.
