Doesn’t work for me
Not sure how everyone’s getting pictures of so many flies on their trap, but they might have more than the average mini fruit fly infestation. I had about 10-15 flies in my single apartment and set out two traps in the most populated areas. I have seen the flies go around the traps and woke up to them near it but not on it. Last night I even swatted a fruit fly with the paper and it stuck to the trap until past the morning when I checked it. Today, I came home from work and the once trapped fruit fly is no where on the paper...still trying to wrap my head around that one. Overall my personal results with the trap is poor, there is certainly a strong fish smell that will fill up the general area of the trap but I just haven’t caught anything and still have those flies around. Again, maybe it’s because I only have 10-15 flies around here, but those are my results. Will happily update this review if I see any changes over the next week, but I’m doubtful of catching any flies at the moment.

It simply doesn't attract any flies
I tried this twice, only to have it stink up the area with the smell of rotten fish while the flies landed everywhere EXCEPT on the supposed fly trap. It simply doesn't attract regular house flies. Maybe the green ones, but that's not what kept flying in when we opened the door at our house? At any rate, these were a stinky, aggravating waste of money. I had to use the fly swatter and my trusty Windex to kill the flies all summer. I dumped the last one, unused, in the trash. I have to believe that all those good reviews are fake, like so many on Amazon seem to be lately. I was not offered anything for this review. I paid for this with my own money and bought it, unfortunately, based on other reviews.

comically ineffective
The word "trap" implies two things: that there is bait involved, and that there is a possibility of catching something. Neither is the case, in this instance. I have a bad fruit fly problem in my kitchen right now for some reason, and this product isn't doing one blessed thing to help. I came into the kitchen yesterday afternoon, and there was an absolute cloud of flies on a piece of lemon rind I had inadvertently left out, right next to the "trap". When I went to pick up the lemon, the flies dispersed to their various nooks and crannies, leaving the "trap" blissfully empty. Later that evening I noticed that there was actually a fly on "the trap". It had this look on its face that told me that it felt like the dumbest fruit fly on Planet Earth. I almost felt bad for it.Back in the day, we called this stuff "fly paper". And we avoided it, because if it gets on anything you don't want it to, you are in for one gross experience. Heaven help you if you touch it with your skin, hair, or clothing... Funnily enough, I do have recollections of fly paper having flies stuck to it. This "trap" is different in that respect.

Terrible
This product is laughable. I've put this out near our cats' food dish where the flies have been gathering this summer. I caught two on the first day. Two others sat NEXT to the trap looking at their fallen friends and smartly chose not to go into the trap. I caught three on the second day (best day) and each day after, no flies have been caught. In fact, today as soon as I put the trap out, it seemed like a flies disappeared and were scared off by the trap. I'm sure they will be back in full force as soon as I throw the thing away. I'll use up the rest of the traps, but not feeling hopeful.

Outstanding Product!
This is a great product. I have a colony of feral cats who I feed on my front porch. Needless to say that during warm weather, I get a great many flies because of food. However, I place several of these high up around their eating area and even though I still have flies, they take care of a great many. Then when The card is full I simply through it away and put up another one. Just received my second order.

The fruit flies just walk around the unglued perimeter!
I wished this would work. I really did. But it does not itis not sticky enough even when the flies stop walking the unglued perimeter and walk on the glue they just fly away. I feel silly and wasted my time and money watching fruit flies thwart a product I paid for. The glue s strong just not strong enough for fruit flies.

They are okay.
I thought these would be able to stick to a surface and catch bugs-- they don't do that- they just lay there. The design is kind of awkward. They also smell pretty bad. I left this out for a week and I think it caught one fly? I don't think I would buy these again. They are just okay.

Garage full of flies, it caught 1 fly in 10 days.
I hung is on the wall immediately above my garage garbage can, where flies are buzzing everywhere. After 2 weeks, it had one fly on it. So, I layed it down in the garbage can (face up) and it caught about 5. So, whatever scent is there, the flies don't go for it.
