It's cool, but it gets hot
It is definitely a little disconcerting how hot this flashlight gets, and how quickly it does it. If you’re going to mount it on a bike or something like that, I guess it’s fine, but I wouldn’t want it mounted on a helmet or somewhere else where it can come in contact with bare skin. The are 4 2400 mAh 18650 lithium batteries in this thing, so it’s designed to for heavy output, but I don’t think they will last long at this discharge rate. I honestly couldn’t test how long the batteries will last because the flashlight gets uncomfortably hot, and I didn’t feel safe leaving it unattended. That’s not a good sign with a rechargeable flashlight. Still, a flashlight that uses 4 of these batteries wired in parallel means that it’s only using small portion of the batteries’ capacity at any given time. So, not taking into account the potential damage done to the batteries by the heat, you could get a lot of light-time out of them. However as I mentioned before, because it gets so hot, I wouldn’t recommend that you leave this on for long periods anywhere, but for short stints where maximum output is desired, you probably can’t beat this thing. The other features like the LED meter, and rechargeable port seem secondary to the safety hazard of a lithium battery getting so hot. So this gets high marks for innovative technology and coolness, but lower marks for safety and convenience.

Really Bright Flashlight
This is by far the brightest flashlight I own, although it isn't 12 times brighter than other XM-L T6 flashlights. I would put it at about 3-4 times brighter. The light beam has a bit of a hotspot and is not zoomable, so keep that in mind when purchasing. Also the flashlight body gets pretty warm in use and sometimes requires a cool down period before it is comfortable enough to hold again. I really like that it came with the 4x 18650 battery cells and that it can be charged with a standard USB Type C cable without requiring the cells be removed.

This unit does get very hot quickly
The title sums it up well, it gets hot quickly from all the LED's and not a lot of surface space from the aluminum to dissipate the heat. The battery life on the unit is not what I had hoped it would be, but with that being said I will say the light output being a definite flood pattern means it can light up an area pretty well on high. The build quality is good, love the extra gasket, but am unsure if I would venture to take this into wet environments as the rubber boot covering the type c charging port doesn't give me full confidence it would be able to keep all the water out.ProsGood light output, good battery life, and good build qualityConsGets very hot to the touch within minutes on high, and pattern of light does not have a good focal point so the distance the light is able to travel is not as great as others with a zoomable neck.

Extremely bright flashlight that lights up the night
I have a lot of flashlights of all sizes. I have them all over the place. I have them in my nightstand, in my car, in the drawers all over the house. When there is a blackout, I get a bit excited on being force to use my flashlights. This flashlight is by far one of the brightest flashlight I have and is now one of my most used flashlights.Brightness:I've used this all over, from inside my house under the sink to outside in the woods. There are 3 brightness setting for each situation, but there is only 1 outcome: VERY BRIGHT.-Brightest mode: Shines through the night and will illuminate at least an 1/8 miles down the street (informal testing at a park by me)-Medium mode: Looks to be around 70-80% the brightest of the brightest mode. Will not shine as far as the brightest mode. Distance wise, is well less than 50% of the brightest mode-Lowest mode: Looks to be about 20% the brightnest of the highest mode. Distance wise, it is about 50 feet out.-Strobe: Flash at the brightest settingConstruction:All metal construction all around, the lens is made of glass. Anywhere you can screw something on or off (the battery compartment and the near of the flashlight) has an O-ring. This should be water resistant at worst.Battery Life:I've been using this for a while now and only have to charge it once so far. I don't always use it on the brightest mode, as when I use it in door, medium or low setting is usually enough or more than enough. Based on this usage, I'd say total use is over 5 hours.Charging:The great thing about this if you already have 18650 batteries and a charger, taking all the batteries out and charging on that is about 4-5 hours on most chargers. If you do not have a separate charger and use the USB cable to charge this, it can easily take a whole night.Overall:I really like this flashlight and is currently my go to flashlight. Durable, solid and very bright. It fits in my hand and is simple to use.

I bought it to check Airliners for wing Ice. It is as bright as I hoped.
Some might point out that it gets warm and it is true and that the batteries don't last that long at full power, but I needed something that could look for ice on very large planes where I cant get near the surface I am looking at. This is great for that. Absolutely blinding to look at if its pointed at your eyes. In cold weather it doesn't warm up too much and I like the 5 push code to lock it and keep it from turning on in my flight bag, which would be bad. Walk around takes less than 5 minutes and thing warms up at full power in that time, but it easily and thoroughly lights up the tail 40' above me so I am happy. Thing is heavy and feels sturdy.

Great light. Small but powerful.
So far all is ok with the light. It’s heavy and very very bright so I wouldn’t let kids handle it. I have to chase deer out of our yard almost every night and this light is bright enough to get the job done. Also, because I had it next to my chair and I’m lazy, I grabbed it to use to dry my nail polish. Worked beautifully. The heat wasn’t too much for my fingers but it did dry my nail polish quickly. I do love that it’s rechargeable so I don’t have to keep replacement batteries for it. Last, but not least, my husband likes it so much that he asked me to get another one so it can be left in the RV.
