First review and AWESOME PRODUCT!!
Since there was zero reviews on this product I was hesitant to order but I read reviews of other products from OASE and decided to try. First off I was setting up the biggest tank I have done (60 gallon) and I wanted it right. Penn-Plex Cascade 1000 canister filter and I wanted a good UV filter. I know multiple people with HUGE Koi ponds the swear by these. Second it is bigger than I thought but no biggie. The bulb inside is a common bulb that you can get anywhere and there is a light on top letting you know it’s on by using the bulb light. Gaskets and well described institutions are included. It’s shipped well protected and no issues. The fittings are 5/8 inch which is the same as the Penn-Plex 1000 Cascade so I just cut in to piping and plugged it up. Water is crystal clear and VERY HAPPY 9 Electric Blue Acara and a Royal Pleco. I cannot believe I’m the first review on this! I feel special. LolRecommend buying for a great tank and happy fish!! Thank you OASE!!

A Solid, Inline UV Sterilizer
I have a 70 Gallon aquascaped aquarium that I mistakenly put in front of two front windows and gets a ton of natural light. Algae growth was rampant, and I invested in a cheap UV sterilizer to try and mitigate that. Unfortunately, it was pretty unsightly and ruined the appearance of my fishtank, but it was cheap. When amazon stopped selling (mysteriously) replacement bulbs for the filter that I purchased on here, I decided to spring for the more expensive inline model. It was a good thing I did, the tank looks a lot nicer now! Algae growth in the water has turned to a minimum, although on the glass it's still problematic.Works, worth the money, and a good filter. I recommend it for your fish tanks!

Beautifully Designed UV Sterilizer!
I purchased this OASE Indoor Aquatics Cleartronic 7 Watt UV sterilizer on Amazon Prime for use in my new 32-gallon planted aquarium equipped with an OASE BioMaster Thermo 350 canister filter also sold on amazon. For those not familiar with OASE aquarium equipment, it’s top-end stuff, beautifully designed in Germany and very popular throughout Europe. This UV sterilizer can be mounted horizontally or vertically, however I recommend mounting it vertically to avoid getting air trapped inside the unit. It has a very solid O-ring sealed UV lamp chamber, with O-ring sealed inlet and outlet fittings. Ensure you install the inlet/outlet O-rings inside the blue fittings on the UV CHAMBER SIDE between the wide flange and UV chamber.A Philips 7-watt UV bulb is included with the unit and replacement Philips bulbs can be purchased on Amazon Prime. They’re good for a year of continual use. This UV sterilizer does a great job eliminating all the “bad stuff” that can grow inside an aquarium...cheap insurance!

Great looking unit, easy to install
A little on the expensive side considering other brands/products out there. I really went with this because I already use their branded canister filter. I have had it for about 1 month on my 70gallon tank and haven't had much algae at all. Not sure if it is helping or not as the tank is only about 2 months old. I have a chihiros wrgb2 light running at 70% brightness for about 8 hours a day and have only seen some brown algae which i understand is normal part of the cycling process, otherwise no green/hair algae build up.

It works
The instructions show the ability to mount the Cleartronic horizontally. I found the hard way that if you do, you must have the output port on top of the sterilizer. If you place it horizontally with the output facing down, air tends to collect on the input side. The ideal is to mount the Cleartronic vertically to let the air out after cleaning the filter. Other wise, this is a good and functional UV sterilizer.

Works well
Seems to be working well; UV isn't a magic cure-all, but it helps with free-floating algae and bacteria in your aquarium. This is very easy to install after your canister filter, and I have not had any leaks.

High initial quality
Very good quality as one would expect from Oase. Swivel connectors allows custom mounting options. However, this should ideally be mounted vertically to avoid air entrapment within the unit.

No more green water!
So far so good. I've only owned this UV clarifier for less than a week, but it cleaned my severely clouded tank in 3 days. Water is crystal clear now. Feels like a high quality unit and hope it will last for years to come.
