Good Human Idea
The Simple Solution Pee Post is a good idea from a human perspective. I inserted the post in a part of the yard that I wanted to be used as 'the' area and they didn't even sniff it as something new, let alone as an attractant. The package lists about 'pee here' technology and descriptions list is a training device that "teaches your pet to urinate in a specific area of your yard". NOT TRUE. You can teach your dog to use it but you have to do just that...take the dog to the post until it goes, everytime you want it to go there, until it understands it is on the 'marking' route. My dogs have this as one of many places in the yard that they use. So it didn't work here and was a waste of my money.

Helps teach an old dog new tricks
Every dog (and trainer) is different but the Pee Post is working to retrain my 4 year old Golden Retriever. He was killing my grass in the area of the yard that he frequently urinated. I placed the Pee Post in the pine mulch around a Palm tree where I wanted him to start urinating. It has a very strong smell of urine. The next time he needed to go out, I put him on a leach and took him straight to the Pee Post and gave him his normal command to “go potty”. He smelled it, lifted his leg, and peed on it. I then gave him praise saying “good boy, go pee pee on the tree!” I then brought him back in the house to get him a treat all while repeating the new command “good boy, go pee pee on the tree!” For the next three days I kept him on a leach when letting him out and gave the new command, “go pee pee on the tree”. After 3 days I began letting him out without a leach but pointed to the tree while still giving him the new command. It has been 3 weeks now. He has had a few times where he started peeing on the grass but I just gave him a strong “NO” command and repeated the new command. I would say he is about 90% retrained at this point proving you can teach an old dog new tricks! (With a little help from the Pee Post.)

The Pee Post does NOT work at all! This is a SCAM!
Our dogs totally ignored the Pee Post and would not urinate anywhere near it. Other reviewers complained about the Pee Post not working, as well. We are returning this item. We were unable to contact the company on the phone number provided to complain. They are not taking live calls and the company's voicemail says they are closed even though it is posted as their normal work hours. The whole thing seems suspicious and smells like a SCAM! Do not buy this product!!!

Didn’t work for me
I hoped my dog would find the post and do her bizzness in a secluded area of the yard. Limiting the pee burnt grass. Might work better with a male dog. I took a chance! It’s on me

Total bust. Dog didn't care at all about this thing.
Didn't work at all. The dog sniffed at it once and went to the bathroom somewhat near it the first time. I was sure to praise the dog alot in hopes of locking in the habit. The next time she went out, I waited until she was near it to tell her to "go potty" and "good girl". She practically flipped me the bird (if she had fingers) and went to the other side of the yard. This didn't "attract" her at all, and she wasn't interested in the scent of it after the first time noticing it - only because it was something new in the yard. Dog is a Cocker - Poodle mix.

Dog didn’t go for it!
We started by putting it where we wanted the dog to go and when that didn’t work, we thought we should put it where he already goes. The thing did nothing to impact where he owes - in fact, now he pees in the house. If I had to venture a guess, I think he deeply resents that we attempted to manipulate his outside bathroom time and is now punishing us. Yes, I’m quite certain this is what’s happening now. So I wouldn’t buy the product if you don’t want your dog pissing all over your house, unless your dog is not a passive aggressive turd, in which case I simply recommend you don’t buy it because it doesn’t work.

Your hands will smell like pee
Warning don’t touch either bare hand they will smell like dog pee. Didn’t work for my dog. He peeped everywhere other than where I placed it it’s been over a month and I can’t get him to go near it.

Worked great for me!
I have a Chinese Crested dog and for anyone familiar with this breed knows they are VERY sensitive with their bathroom needs. If it's too cold...won't pee outside. If it's too muddy...won't pee outside. If the area has already been marked enough times...won't pee at all in that area. Well, I moved and have a very small yard now (10x20 ft) and after he had sufficiently peed on everything, he no longer wanted to pee in that area and would just stand by the gate...then have an accident in the house. (Enter face of frustration) I could not feasibly walk him every time he needed out (I live in a very low lit area with no sidewalks). I popped this in near the fence and immediately he peed next to it. I thought it maybe was a coincidence but several months later he's still peeing on it or near it with no accidents.

It does not trigger my small male dog who loves to mark and dominate the world.
My 4 year old small male dog goes outside all the time as he is trained already. He loves marking every post when he goes on a walk to tell the world his small body owns the neighborhood. I needed him to pee in one spot in our yard and since I cant move fire hydrant into our yard, I decided to give this a try even though reviews were bad. The reviews were CORRECT. The stick was smelly to our human noses but I guess it does not get noticed by dogs or something which I thought was very odd. My dog totally ignores it and goes other places to pee. This is garbage and total waste of money. It destroyed my hope. I will have to pour water everywhere he pees from now. People please DO NOT GET TEMPTED TO TRY THIS. It just does NOT work.

Doesn’t work dog thought it was a toy
Got out of packet. Dog went crazy thinking it was a toy. Pulled it out of the ground. Started chewing on it. I put back in ground deeper and just ignores it now. Waste of money.
