It fixed a leak that several A/C companies could not fix!!!!
Awesome product!!! Saved me untold thousands of dollars. Even if you think your leak is too big for this product to work, try it anyway. We live in AZ and A/C is a must in the summer when the humidity goes up and the swamp coolers quit working. Over quite a few years, several A/C companies tried to find our leak but couldn't. They figured it was in a wall somewhere if they were honest. The others just said we needed new coils AGAIN. The honest one wanted to run a new refrigerant line outside and around the house up to the air handler but that would have been hideous, expensive and would have reduced the cooling capability of the system as well as increased our operating costs. One tiny can of Super Seal did the trick!!!! You might think it is expensive for such a tiny can but it is definitely worth many times its cost in the money it will save you. Words cannot express how happy I am with this product.March 2015 Update -- I purchased and installed Super Seal in May of 2014 (it took me until August to write the first review but I wanted to make sure it worked.) and my Goodman A/C unit with a scroll compressor made it through the hot summer months without the need for any additional R-22. That's a first for the past 20 years in this house. Our leak is in a wall somewhere and this product sealed in within minutes. So now the heat pump has had the pressures reversed all winter and we had some really cold nights this year (first snow I've seen in Gilbert since we moved here) but the system held and kept us nice and warm. Soon we will be reversing the system again as it warms up and we'll see if it made it through a full cycle of heating and cooling.June 2015 Update -- Well we are into the 110+ degree weather again and expecting 115 for the rest of the week and the A/C unit with the Super Seal in it is holding strong. I'm still reading the same temperature split from this unit that I measured when I installed the Super Seal with no added R-22 since that day. This stuff has kept so much freon out of the atmosphere that I'm surprised the EPA hasn't mandated its use. Amazing product. Just don't forget to add oil if your freon has been leaking for quite some time. I truly believe that is why many of the reviewers' compressors seize up shortly after installing this product.October 2015 Update - Unfortunately Super Seal could not hold off the inevitable any longer. Our piece-of-junk Goodman coil in the air handler finally just disintegrated so much that even this great product could no longer hold back a massive hole. The system went from cooling fine to not cooling more than 2 degrees overnight. The problem is that Goodman, in its infinite wisdom, made its coils out of copper and steel. Anyone old enough to remember the issues with the Statue of Liberty will remember that those two dissimilar metals should never be put in contact with each other because the copper will cause the steel to disintegrate faster that if it was left out in the natural environment. I won't explain the chemistry but this should have never been done. I found a good company that will still fix R-22 units and they installed a Lenox air handler with an all-aluminum coil. This coil should last until we leave this house. I still think that the pinhole leak we had in the wall is still sealed though. Super Seal gave me enough time to find a good company to make the necessary repairs. I'm thinking about buying another can to keep our other unit running longer, at least until it falls apart too.

This is a great product if you have small leaks
This is a great product if you have small leaks. I waited almost a year to write the review just to make sure it still worked a year later. Follow the instructions. I was losing all cooling function in my 5 ton AC in about 6 weeks after getting a full recharge. Service company wanted $4500 to replace the evaporator side of the AC. So I gave this a try.I first got the AC fully recharged with about 5 pounds (yours may differ, depends on how big your leak is). Then I used this product. Remember to purge the line before you open the can. The chemical reacts to moisture, so if you don't purge, it will clog and not work. I let the AC run for 15 minutes with the can attached and after a year, system remains completely sealed. The temp diff between return and supply averages about 21-23 Fahrenheit and has stayed consistent since September of last year. Right now it's almost May in Texas and the temp diff has remained constant. including the $250 I paid of refrigerant, I am still up $4200 vs having the evaporator replaced.edit: 5/1/2019 This is still a great product BUT you have to make sure there is no moisture in your system! I had some random company come out to put some refrigerant in because I had lost enough over the winter where the system would ice up if I ran it for too long non-stop (>2hrs). Well the guy must have not purged his hoses before he refilled and now I have a restriction in the filter because the Super Seal reacted with the moisture, formed crystals, which were then trapped by the filter. So now I have really high pressure on the compressor side of the filter and it causes my system to require several starts on the first start of the day to get going but then it's fine for the rest of the day. I guess I should consider myself lucky that the partial restriction is in the filter, which has a relatively large opening. If it had lodged in the txv on the evaporator side, which has a tiny opening, I would have lost cooling completely. So long story short, you CAN NOT have moisture in your system or you could potentially have big problems.
