Outstanding insight into artists studios
I really love this book, it has SO much to offer! I feel like I got to visit the artists in their studios and see how they put their spaces together first hand. The thing that I liked most about this book is the variety of artists that are shown. Everyone has a style that suits their medium and I found it really intriguing to be able to compare them side by side in the book (I'm *still* drooling over the Wendy Vecchi's collection of library card file cabinets - what an excellent and beautiful way to organize your space!)There are tips on how to organize and you can see how thrift store finds help you make a creative space for yourself that doesn't require building new construction. Its a very genuine book, shows everyday artists and professional artists side by side and that makes the book a winner in my, well, book. I plan to give it as holiday gifts, its very inspirational!

I wish I'd bought this years ago. Excellent ‼
This book helped me clear up SO MUCH chaos in my head, which then allowed me to begin seeing things in my art space in a clear, different and more calming way. I honestly think I want to make giant post its with all my favorite ideas from the book and put them on the walls, etc, where I found they might work by reading this book.I will be dog earring this one for sure 😘

Buy it!
I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews. Artist spaces are typically “messy” but messy does not mean disorganized. This book not only showcases well used and organized artist spaces, but best of all, it illustrates floor plans in all different sizes! Really gives you a sense of what you can do with any space. Beautiful book, glad I ignored the negative reviews!

Great ideas for a studio
I'm planning a studio of my own. This book gave me some great ideas! I love that it has floorplans included. But, I was disappointed that there were no basket weavers featured, as I am a basket weaver. Also, the website mentioned in the back, while still up, references new items coming out in 2018. A little far behind as this is 2025.

Pretty messy work spaces....
At first glance I was very disappointed in this book. Many of the rooms are so messy. It's hard to be inspired with so much...stuff piled all over. BUT after I got over the initial shock of some of the pictures I started to read and now I have changed my opinion on the worth of this purchase. While many of the creative rooms are not to my creative taste...the words of wisdom are. So now I will keep the book and not donate so quickly to Good Will.

Not What I Expected- Better
When I purchased this book, I thought it would include only painter's studios- my main interest. In fact, it includes the studios of textile workers, craftspeople, weavers, designers, etc. I was not a bit disappointed. It was refreshing to see the variety of design solutions from all these different categories.

Great Ideas!
Great How-To book! It was very inspirational. I loved a lot of the spaces that they showed in the book. And although I don't have a lot of space I was able to use some of the smaller more practical ideas. In some cases the ideas were very obvious but it can be amazing how you don't think of it until someone voices it. You say, why didn't I think of that?

This is my FIX
I'm an artist with my own art studio, a dream come true. In addition, I'm very into home decorating, too. I love home décor magazines so you might imagine my absolute favorite fix is viewing the studios of other artists. This book "Creative Studio" is my favorite...I'm lucky to have quite a few books and magazines like it.
