Loctite Naval Jelly Rust Dissolver, 8 fl oz, Bottle

I used this 8 fl oz Loctite Naval Jelly to restore rusted bolts and old metal brackets in my garage. This gel formula clings well to vertical metal surfaces without dripping off. I brushed it on, waited a few minutes, and most heavy rust wiped away easily. It handles stubborn rust better than many liquid rust removers I’ve tried. Just remember to wear gloves and follow safety directions. The 8oz bottle is perfect for small to medium restoration jobs. After rinsing and drying the metal, I primed it right away to stop new rust from forming. This classic rust dissolver performs exactly as promised. I’m really happy with the results and will keep it in my workshop.

I bought this for my home office chair base, not a car. The metal around one wheel started to rust and I did not want it staining my light rug. I put on gloves, brushed off the loose rust, then wiped this on like the bottle says. The brown spots turned dark and stopped spreading, which is exactly what I wanted. A week later I rolled the chair around and nothing flaked off on the floor. That small thing made me really glad I tried it at home instead of dragging the chair to a shop.

Lingering rust on some metal shelves in my tiny laundry room was bugging me, so i grabbed this after work. It works well if you really scrub and rinse, took off most of the rust on the first go. Smell is pretty strong though, had to keep the window open adn my mask on.

Tossed this in my cart for my dorm because the metal shelf I got secondhand looked gross and rusty. I brushed this stuff on the worst spots, waited a bit, then scrubbed while streaming a lecture. Watching the brown rust turn lighter and wipe off was weirdly satisfying and made the shelf look way less sketchy.

Hope the rust wouldn't come back. This was my attempt #3. Previously I was applying rust oleum primer (rust converter one). Still rust returned after 1 month. So now I added location step . Make sure you follow sequence (wash/sand/wash/de-grease/dry/loctite/rinse/dry/primer) . After that I waited couple of days. Inspect the surface. Re-sand if necessary (in my case it was : TOUCH SANDING DARK SPOTS). Reapply Loctite again. RINSE/DRY/DEGREASE/DRY/ PRIMER. Wait couple of days. Reinspect - paint...

Bought this for my trailhead gear box to deal with rust on my roof-rack bolts and a camp stove grate. Brushed it on, waited a bit, then rinsed and watched the gunk come off 😎. one thing that made me really glad was seeing an old carabiner go from crusty to usable again. I keep the bottle in my truck now.

When my son told me this product is what I needed for my cars rust I ordered it almost immediately. Follow the directions on the bottle and the rust will vanish away! One application was all I had to do for rust starting on the inside panel of my drivers door. As rust returns you just apply the product again. This product is amaZing!
