Back in business!
Works great for my 32oz lava lamp. All the bulbs came undamaged and fully functional. Dimming works perfectly. In my (what I believe to be a-) Midnight lava lamp base this 3.3" height bulb worked out just fine with another estimated 0.45" of clearance between the bulb and the lava lamp globe.I see a lot of people in reviews of bulbs looking to replace their lava lamp bulb who end up buying the wrong bulbs based on only one number, not realizing that they don't have the correct base number, and end up unfairly rating 1 star.Make sure your bulb has the correct base number for which lava lamp you have- in this case I WANTED an A15 shape bulb but NEEDED an E26 (medium) base; A15s don't refer to a singular bulb type across the board because *that number refers only to the shape and millimeter diameter of the glass of the bulb at its widest point.* The base number, in this case "E26", refers to the millimeter diameter of the base- 26mm.So for example, in one reviewer's case that I had seen (perhaps not on this exact listing; I'd been searching around for a while), they only looked at "A15", bought it, and made a negative review showing the bulb they bought alongside the bulb they were wanting to replace; both were A15, but the one they got had an E26 base where what they actually needed was an E17 base- then said something to the effect of "wth this said it was an A15 but they're nothing alike. are there more than one type of A15 or something??".Hope this clears some things up for anyone who, like me, knew next to nothing about bulbs before reading up on it. I'll update this review if anything comes up.

No good for my lava lamp
Bought these as replacement bulbs for my lava lamp. The bulbs technically work, in that they fit the socket and provide light. However, they do not get hot enough to get the lava in the lamp going. Not recommended for this purpose.
