Favorite Parker style pen
This would be my 1st choice. It is like the writing instruments from the good old days, one of those rare mementos find that one would be tempted to permanently borrow from a grandfathers' desk. Have had one for a couple of years, bought another 2 as gifts.Compared to similar-styled pens, the joining of the parts is precise and the materials, appearance, feel, and quality of the pen is excellent and superior. The main body of the pen is finished in what seems like a baked enamel. The chrome has not marred (unlike other brand). The metals are solid, and no visible plastic. For some reason the ink it comes with is unimpressive - I replace the proprietary original Parker-style ink cartridge with easily available, inexpensive Schmidt Easy Flow 9000. The pens themselves seem to not be available in black any more, only silver. Would like to have more color options, such as dark green, Makita Blue, ceramic white, etc.

Love this Pen! Excellent Quality!
I liked the mechanical pencil so much that I had to order the pen too! Now I can't stop writing with it! These are just super comfortable. I went through and threw out almost all my cheapo pens, and will use this pen or the mechanical pencil as my primary writing tools - I write a lot every day, and have mostly used mechanical pencils but this pen might just change that around. I did not like the ball point ink it came with so I switched that out to a parker gel - and super happy! This pen itself is a solid build - all metal no plastic. I believe this will last forever! Like the pencil the knurling is awesome and smooth transition to the body which makes it very comfortable (no sharp edges or drop offs). The length and slightly slimmer diameter is the best! Super happy Customer & High Recommend. FYI - I checked the TWSBI site - and they have the black versions ... which I might consider purchasing in the future!

Well built and mechanically perfect, but a slim and hard to grip body
The pen arrived in a neat and well-padded plain cardboard box that offers good protection. A very slim, and somewhat slippery body makes this hard for an adult male to use for long periods. The "knurling" near the tip gives little to no additional grip compared to other pens. Mechanically, it works smoothly and feel like it will last for a very long time. The refill writes well, with no skips, but it falls short of some other Parker-type refills. But that gives you a broad range of replacement refills to choose from. For the price, it's not the very best, but still a good choice, in my opinion.

Lame customer service
Stopped retracting on day 1. TWSBI Customer service said it was my fault. They said it wouldn't break under normal use. Seriously. What would I possibly be doing with a new pen that is not normal use?I had to take it apart and fix it. It doesn't click like it did but its usable now. I should have splurged and got the Rotring.

Solid pen
This is a great pen. Very comfortable knurling, not too deep, enough to not sandpaper your fingers off. Not sure what the other review is complaining about with it not being enough to hold on to. It's certainly 100x better than gripping a smooth barrel. Click is very solid as is the clip. Takes standard Parker refills which is a plus.
