Ryobi 9ah battery
What surprised me about the Ryobi 9ah battery was how similar this battery is in size and weight to the 6ah battery. I use this battery for tools that zap power quickly such as heat guns, leaf blower, and fans. But this really pays off in longevity, for instance, if I'm travelling for a paintball event, I need power all day long at the camp site. It's a little heavy for hand-held tools, but it's so nice to push the button on the side and immediately know how much battery life is remaining.

Worth the money....
Those of us baseball families love our battery powered fans. The big green Ryobi fans are awesome but they devour batteries. I got this one so it could last for two full games. I charged the battery and ran the fan on 3, the highest setting, it lasted 3 and 46 minutes. It last almost 6 hours on setting 2. This is an awesome battery, not cheap, but as we all know, you get what you pay for. Just ordered my second one.

Great batteries for long camping trips and many other uses.
I have the 4", 10", and 18" ryobi fans. The 9ah 18v battery runs them all much longer than the 4ah batteries and takes less than 1 1/2 hours to charge w/ the ryobi rapid charger. I have had 2 for several months and just bought 2 more for our longer hot camping trips. Also use them on our ryobi lights; they last more than 7 nights of continued use on the smaller camp lights. I have many other ryobi 18v tools which will work much longer with the 9ah, but the weight can be a problem when using them in an awkward position. Great product, as are all my ryobi 18v tool.

The power and running time you need
I’ve got several Ryobi tools in my garage and a few assorted batteries I keep charged and ready to go. So when I fired up my new edger and only got halfway down one side of the driveway before the freshly charged 2 aH battery ran out of power I was stumped.Fortunately, other reviewers mentioned having the same experience, and the solution: a bigger, more powerful battery for tools like the edger that draw lots of juice. So I bit the bullet and ordered this 9 aH beast, and what a game changer! Now I can edge the whole driveway, the sidewalk that runs the length of our lot, and the curb that runs the entire perimeter of our property…then swap the same battery out into the blower, and blow all that dirt and grass off the driveway and sidewalk, with power to spare. This battery may be the best lawn care purchase I’ve made—it’s given all my other Ryobi tools a new life, and made yard work so much easier and less frustrating.Get one, you won’t regret it.

Buying the original battery is worth it
I questioned if it was worth buying the Ryobi 9.0 ah battery or going with a clone for half of the price. So I purchased both to do my own test since I needed two down the road. Well I can honestly say the the Ryobi outperformed the clone. The clone works well and does last for some time but the Ryobi would constantly provide the power I needed and last at least 40-60 minutes longer than the clone. This is my personal experience and I am glad I made the purchase of both batteries for comparison.

POWER
The 2ah batteries could not keep up with the edger, would last about 2 min. Grabbed this monster, can now edge my whole property and my neighbors with power to spare. Its expensive and its worth it.

Works in lawnmower
I was able to cut my entire lawn, around 30 min of mowing with this battery. The battery's charge indicator showed two bars charge left in the battery. The third party 9AH batteries I also have will only run the lawnmower for 10 minutes before their internal BMS disconnects them from the lawnmower, the result of a current draw that the BMS believes is too high. This battery also includes the secondary power contacts that some Ryobi tools use to draw extra power from the battery. My impact driver is the only tool I own that can use these secondary power contacts.

Powerful!
This battery has quite a bit of power. There was no need to keep re charging the battery as it has staying power to keep running during the project. Glad I purchased it.
