Easy instalation and looks great

It has been 2 weeks since I installed the lip and can say it does the job. Remember to always clean with isopropyl alcohol before applying. I noticed the adhesive on the ends wasn't really holding so I ended up adding heavy duty 3m double sided tape which helped fastened the ends. The adhesive in the middle holds up very well. I have taken it to one car wash 1 week after letting the adhesive settle in and the lip still holds.

I love the idea of this simple add-on to give my car a more aggressive look on the front but this stuff sucks. I have a 2012 Focus Titanium and on each side of the front bumper on the bottom are two plastic trim pieces. I cleaned those with isopropyl alcohol to (hopefully) make sure it was clean. The driver side went on fine. Moved to the middle of the front bumper (painted) and finally worked my way around to the passenger side. By the time I was done, the driver side was already peeling off. Thinking I may not have cleaned it good enough, I used a Mr. Clean sponge (original) and WAY more alcohol and cleaned the plastic pieces very thoroughly. Or at least I thought. I also replaced the cheap tape with 3M trim tape. It stayed on a little better but I still struggled with getting it to adhere. The painted section was very sticking very well but the plastic pieces made using this stuff worthless. The outside temperature was also 90 degrees so there should have been no need to heat the tape. The other day I bumped a curb with it and it started peeling the drivers side off. Today, I noticed the passenger side was peeling off. I ended up yanking this crap off my car. And it's too bad because I really like how it looked on the car.

Overall this did add the more aggressive look I was going for with my Cx-5, HOWEVER, this product will not adhere well without something called an adhesion promoter. It’s pretty inexpensive and definitely worth it so you don’t waste 60+ dollars like I did. I originally bought it straight from the manufacturers website and cleaned off the surface with isopropyl alcohol, but even then it ended up sagging on the ends and in one spot in the middle even after applying heat to the adhesive.I knew about adhesion promoter from working in aviation applying decals to aircraft and I’m gonna say it’s almost required so that the install goes smooth and last.I also ended up cutting triangles like the max includes already from their product line but I’m not sure if you’ll need to do that.But the adhesion promoter is a MUST

I never care to leave reviews, I saw this product, decent price and seemed like the reviews were okay, so I gave it a shot. I kind of figured it wouldn’t work out and I was just going to return it. It got here in one day, that alone was nice but that was more Amazon’s doing then the product, but I opened up the package, grabbed some scissors and ran outside to put it on, please note that it had just rained that day so my car was wet and muddy. I peeled the tape off and stuck it on, be careful as to stick it on exactly where you want because it will stick hard immediately. I cut the excess off with the scissors and boom, was done in maybe 8min or less. I used a Ryobi heat gun after it was stuck on just to get the adhesive a little more stuck on. So far it’s been a few days and it’s been through a rain and a car wash. It’s stuck on perfectly, and looks fantastic. This is a must buy.

Product Is Good. Only Reason I’m Not Giving It 5 Stars Is Cause It Came With The Adhesive/Tape Almost Off. Stillon The Car 1 Month Later. But Half Is Already Hanging Off. now I Need To Buy A New One. If Adhesive/Tape Is Not On Correctly, I Dont Suggest Putting It On.

It looks cool on my Dodge Charger, but the ends do not stick well. The ends of the lip started to fall off in less than 24 hours. Yes, I did get a full detail on my car before putting these on. The car was completely dry and it was about 93° outside.

Made of foam which is strong enough and easy to go around sharp edges of any suv, hopefully the double adhesive will stay for long time.
