20Gr Metallic Gold Miyuki 4mm Square Cube Glass Seed Beads

I am a beginner beader and have only made six bracelets so far, so I am still experimenting and learning trial through error. I ordered these beads in gold and silver.4mm is a huge bead! If you need a huge bead, this is the one to get. I knocked out a wide cuff bracelet (about 5 beads wide and 7.5 inches long) in just a few hours. It's not an elegant bracelet, and is very masculine. It reminds me of a man's watch band. So that is the look to expect if you are making a bracelet. If you want a bold, clunky statement piece, this would probably work.One of the reason I bought Miyuki beads was because I expected uniformity but in the course of making my bracelet there were at least four to six beads that were deformed or damaged and unsuitable to use. Not what I expected when I ordered Miyuki.

I got the size I wanted, and they arrived quickly, but the color is not the same as it shows in the photo. The ones I received are darker (and I was wanting a bright gold, as shown!). They look almost copperish or rose gold to me. Also, a few of them have the coating coming off so you can see the clear part underneath. I won't purchase these particular ones again. I went ahead and used them since I was just making a bracelet for myself, but I wonder how long it will stay looking new. If I was selling or giving as a gift, I would have sent them back.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers. The beads are all consistently 4mm square cubes, and were received in very good condition (no chips, finished evenly, packaged well in Miyuki labeled tube, etc...) The beads do not have the gold-tone/color consistent with genuine Miyuki beads that I've ordered in the past. These beads are very, very bright/shiny and a very yellowy-toned gold. The gold is just too shiny and too yellow, giving them a cheap and cheesy appearance.

I love all of the 4mm square Miyuki beads. These are a soft gold color, which I love. You get lots and lots for a very good price. They come in a tube, which is nice for storage. I can't tell you how many different pieces I have use these in and even made a double choker with them as the primary bead and still have a lot. Great value.

If you haven't tried bead embroidery, these metallic gold cube beads would make any project stand out. They can be used as a base with a bead on top to outline a cabochon or sewn on the side to make a solid line. Gold metallic makes a project pop!

Beads are just as shiny and beautiful as shown and the service was great even during holiday season when o needed them quickly.
