Hydro Flow Rubber Grommet 1/2 Inch, Bag of 10

High Quality, think and heavy duty. These are not the normal quality you find at big box stores. I recommend these for hydroponics. I am using then to create water level indicators on 5 gallon pails. Five Stars

Works perfect for my hydroponic grow buckets. Just make sure your barbed fittings are .525" in outside smooth diameter (not the barb area) or you will leak. I used a 13/16" spade style wood drill bit at high speed with very little pressure to drill my hole/s.

Tired regular grommet before these arrived. They did not hold water seal well. These were the ticket, easier to install and hold fittings tighter. No water leaks. Great product.

These are soooo much better than the ones sold at the local hardware store-- and at half the price. They don't warp out or stretch oddly when inserting into hard plastic holes. (If you've used grommets, you'll know what I'm talking about...) Yes, I'd buy these again.

1/2 pvc pipe does not fit 1/2 grommets because pipe is 3/4" od. I used hydrofarm and hydroflow brands. Don't remember which was grommet and which was fitting but, the grommet was inside diameter and fitting was outside diameter and I used 1 /2" inside diameter hose to connect buckets together. I don't remember what was what because it has been at least 3-4 years ago. I do 3-4 grows a year and so far none have leaked. The fittings were thin and cheap but like I said, no leaks. Clean the boogers off your hole and they won't leak. I don't remember what size hole I drilled, and there is a discrepancy on what size hole to make so start small and go bigger if you have to.

Works well on pails, a good tight hole is needed to weasel it into so that it won't leak and will seal off your water if used for a hydroponic setup.

I had to return though as the 1/2" is not a fit for 1/2" pipe. Quality product and wish I could've been able to use in my hydroponics. I will order the correct size. This seller was no fuss and quick to respond!!
