Just opened and installed this (my 3rd) irritating security camera. I don’t care how many fancy features a camera has... All I want from a camera is for my iphone to alert me when someone walks in front of the camera as my garage/driveway is detached (maybe 8 yards) from my house. Apparently that’s just too much to ask. Hook up is not intuitive. The app settings for “sound” and “humanoid” motion settings elicit zero alerts no matter whether it’s low, medium or high sensitivity. The “motion” detection setting is the only one we could make alert and that is either every 3-5 minutes or not at all, again no matter which sensitivity setting. My Iphone’s notification settings are all on. Modem is not the issue as the image is fine day and night. Tried deleting the app and starting over and I think it’s actually worse now. May return...can’t recommend a friend to purchase unless I just wanted to annoy the crap outtathem:-/

However, if you don't, you get penalized. It does not work with BlueIris, the ONVIF capabilities are seriously lacking. You can use VLC to connect to the stream, but there really is no option to have it record to your local DVR. Once your free cloud subscription expires, you can no longer see the cameras via their APP even if you are on the same Wifi network. Also, the time resets itself to 1970 once it disconnects from the cloud. I suspect that is their punishment to you for not paying them.Also, once the temperature reached 95, the camera's video stops working until the temperature comes back down. I have verified that the Wifi is still active, but there is no video stream when this happens.If all you want is a camera that you can view using VLC in real-time, this is an OK choice. If you want all of the other features, then you'll pay every month for the privilege. If I could integrate it with a local DVR, this could be a decent option, but until that happens, I'd avoid this camera.

Would not stay connected to wifi even though all my other cameras did. Don’t waste your money.

Sure looks pretty. The micro printed enclosed instructions are vague at best. Its says on the site that it is POE...its not. There is no customer support except for email, and they could even answer the most basic question about what they sell. Move along little doggy. Go find something else.

Good security has the same perks as a Ring but at a much lower price! App on phone let’s you know who is approaching and works great at night

I had the camera up for three days and stopped working! It would not reset and no voice command

The fredi outdoor security camera is easy to set up and delivery very fast. The color is nice. And it has waterproof. It’s good for outdoor security.

Have had for 6 months and it will not connect to my internet in ANY way and have purchased the cloud for recording subscription and cannot get my money back either. Its worthless now.
