Nice scale, love the sensitivity.
Bought this several months ago and use it regularly now. Having an accurate way to get some insight about my daily food intake has been a real game changer. The scale works very well indeed. Fascinating to be able to weigh out each addition to a decoction and to have such an accurate account of the whole. And, as far as I'm concerned, the sub gram accuracy is fabulous. I have calibration weights and the accuracy and sensitivity are excellent for a food scale. It is not totally sensitive down to its smallest unit (.1 gm) but can easily discern a change of around .25 gm. Compared to less sensitive food scales, this extra sensitivity is great. I also appreciate the bright and legible readout. A shortfall of this design is the readout being hard to see with a large bowl or plate on top but the clarity of the readout does help. And being totally digital, battery use (AAA x 2) is hardly an issue; it's still running on the included batteries after multiple daily usage for nearly 6 months. Bottom line - I like the scale a lot. I plan on getting another on as soon as I get my cookshack up and smoking.

Great purchase for low weight measurements (less than 1,000g)
Love this scale. The accuracy and weight limit combination are great, and to have a scale that goes up to such a high weight with a strong accuracy is awesome. I primarily use this scale for foods and so I've included the accuracy with a calibration set I have. The weights below 1,000g are all exact as can be seen in the photos. Once getting to 1,000g the scale then starts to slowly lose accuracy BUT it is within a gram accuracy still. Now this is just the lower range of the scale, but it is more than sufficiently accurate for all of my needs. There are two drawbacks, but I don't feel they warrant a star reduction.1. When setting a plate or some other item on the scale, it can block the view of the numbers where you have to bend over a bit to see the numbers. This is a trade-off of the unit having such a small footprint on the counter and I'm fine with it.2. As others have mentioned the timer before the unit auto-shutoff activates is a bit short, maybe 2 minutes. This is yet another trade-off for battery life. In this case you simply need to be cognizant of occasionally tapping the scale with a finger if you are planning to prepare food while weighing it.Overall, I'm extremely happy with the design, it weighs next to nothing, it can slide anywhere out of sight, it works great, it loads to begin weighing quickly, it had an LCD screen thats lit up, it's touch sensitive so no buttons, it responds great and has many different units of measurement including that of water and milk!I previously purchased another scale that didn't weigh as high as this one (only measured half the weight), and was more expensive. It had some nice features this one does not, but I'm extremely glad I upgraded! This review alone speaks to how much I like this scale. I don't hibk I've ever included pictures in a review and simply wanted to do the company justice for building a solid product! Finally I should add, this scale may very well be accurate at the upper range of the measurements as well, I simply didn't have the tools to check, and so will simply advocate it as awesome within the realm I measured and use it.

Very easy to use
The scale is perfect and so far as it gives you multiple measurement choices, it’s compact and easy to read

low contrast in some light, +/-0.3g, UNdocumented adjustable time-out. Good value.
low contrast in some light, +/-0.3g (or better), no adjustable time-out. Works well for the 2 days I have it.0.1g is just the resolution - that is not +/-0.1g accuracy, and the reading is not perfectly repeatable to 0.1g . 0.3g is the rated minimum readable value.(SEE EDIT BELOW) 2-minute UN-adjustable time-out means you have to press the tray periodically to keep it awake. So far it runs on NiMH rechargeable batteries (2x AAA) for about a week then it needs replacement. I'm hoping to find a pair that will last a month at least. The adjusted timeout setting is retained long enough for me to change the batteries without losing that setting. FOLLOWUP: the scale stops working when batteries fall to 1.32v which is disappointing and only takes me 2-3 weeks of use. It's a fine value - just wish it was adjustable time-out as described.EDIT: OK there is an UNdocumented procedure to adjust timeout, the selectable settings are 0(none),60,120,180,300 - good enough! I don't know the exact procedure but it appears in one the the answered questions, and in one of the reviews. I just checked and my procedure is:1. press-and-hold POWER,2. while the display says "HELLO" and while you hold POWER, also tap UNIT 4x, then the display indicates the current timeout in seconds (example "60")3. tap POWER until it reads the desired timeout value you want (180 seconds, yeah!)4. tap UNIT (and the display says "PASS" to accept the value).DONE.This procedure is verified for MY device. If you see ANYTHING else then just turn it off (or preferably just wait and let it turn off) and start over - you don't want to mess up your weight calibration, which is possible.

Very good kitchen scale
I use the scale for making coffee and baking. It works very well. This Lan Sheng scale is fast. It updates reading quickly. My +10 years old scale still works, but it is slow. That is one of reasons I'd like to get a new one.It seems to be accurate. Not many scales at this price can get to sub gram accuracy. I weigh one of my coffee mugs every morning and get the same reading. Another review has checked the accuracy with standard weights. The scale uses two AAA batteries. It is easy to change. I only need to change them after 6 months. I do not use rechargeable batteries because they have lower voltages.CONS:The buttons are very sensitive. Do not need to press buttons hard. It can be a good or bad thing. Sometimes I have to remove batteries to clean the area near the buttons.Although the shut off time can be adjusted, it was hard for me to press buttons 4 times in a row because the buttons are sensitive. It is not easy to tell how many times I have pressed the button.
