Survived for 6 years!
It is currently 2021 and I purchased this tv 6 yeara ago. I can tell you this tv has been through a crazy life as I have myself the past 6 years, and I still prefer it over my 4K smart tv. It has a beautiful picture and lags close to none. I've always used it for my bedroom to have a nice picture for gamings and movies, but I have always felt as though it was a little too small for an actual living room, hence the smart tv. I actually lost the remote to it in college, so I had to go out and buy a generic blackweb universal remote to work with this TV, so you know wirhout a doubt it has compatibility! From sound to picture; from a tv stand or up on your wall... This TV is without a doubt worth your weekly haul. 5 stars! The item may be currently unavailable, but if youre in need of all of the nice stuff listed above, and happen to stumble upon this TV brand, then be assured that the attraction you feel is worthy.

Picture OK, Sound not good
Bought less than a year ago. The picture quality is OK, but the sound is off. There's a strange clicking that occurs every time the audio turns on and the volume doesn't increase evenly (really quiet the first 5 notches, and very loud 6 and above). I would not buy this product unless you are planning on using your own speaker system.

Pretty cool
I was highly skeptical about this TV. The price was dirt cheap in comparison to other brands, and the reviews about it gave me mixed emotions. I've heard that the TV isn't durable and the sound quality sucks. Neither of those have shown to be true for me. I specifically wanted a 40 inch, 1080p LED tv for my room so I could watch my TV and play games. I really don't care for smart functionality because my PS4 has all those features, so I wasn't willing to dole out more dollars for something I wasn't going to use.Anyway, the TV is great. Picture is really nice and crisp for TV watching. It was quite a mission getting it to look how I wanted for gaming, but it was worth it because it looks awesome. I've heard some complaints about the response time, but I play games like COD and GTA and I haven't encountered any issue. The sound is all right. If you're going to buy an HDTV, you should invest in something like a sound bar anyway.I have only a few complaints about the TV. The remote sucks. Feels weird, buttons aren't that responsive, get a universal remote. Also, strangely, the TV sensor light thing turns on when the TV is off, and turns off when the TV is on. What's annoying about this is that when I'm heading to bed and I turn the TV off, the light bothers me a little. This obviously isn't the best TV in the world, but it's worth its price. I just bought this because it provided what I exactly needed.Update: Not even three years later, I now have an annoying glitch in which the input menu stays on screen and endlessly scrolls. Guess this TV wasn't worth it after all.

Awesome if you're mounting it on the wall - the feet that come with it suck
The feet on this suck. If you're not going to mount it on the wall, I would seriously recommend looking for some different support options since the feet just break and don't support the weight of the tv at all. Picture quality, ease of use, everything else is great. Just not the feet.

Good value for $$$
the first unit we received conked out after 3 weeks, seemed to be a power supply problem. Picture flickering and then went black. Customer service (via email) was responsive and sent a UPS ticket for return shipping so it was cost free. Replacement unit seems to be holding up well after 6 weeks. Picture quality is good (used mostly for online gaming) and the sound is also good. Can't beat the cost and value. (except for the first defective unit which was replaced quickly and seamlessly.)

Great TV for the price, Great picture and features
A Very Good Deal for a 40 inch flat panel TV!!! We bought this TV as a graduation gift for our daughter, whose previous TV was damaged by apartment workers jerking the cable input from the rear panel.... We had it unboxed and set up in about 10 minutes, and after running the tuning program were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the picture and sound. It has a very good picture, minimal frame beyond the screen, looks very clean on an apartment glass TV table, cords not too difficult to reach and fit from the rear panel, and enough HDMI inputs for all the college kids input gear. This is our second Hisense 40 inch TV, the first is in our bedroom and working fine after over 4 years steady use, and this one has a decidedly better picture, and for over $100 less $$$... very pleased with this purchase!

Great panel for the money.
It did not seem refurbished, and it is working very well. You do need the remote to switch the inputs and the OSD does not seem completely programmed, but the panel is very high quality. If you are using the monitor over hdmi you need to change a setting in the OSD to graphical, otherwise the image is expanded. The programming works for this function with the remote.I think it's a great panel if that is just what you are looking for.

No
I would give it negative stars if I could. A fly could slam into it and the screen would crack. Weakkkk and waste of money. Hopefully you don't give in on the price.
