FrenzyBird 5mm Cork Yoga Mat with Oxford Mat Bag and Strap, Double-Sided,Free of PVC, for Yoga,Hot Yoga and Pilates

3.5 stars. This really is an attractive mat, and decent value (probably can't beat it for the price point). Has a quality "feel" to it, and nice weight, although it does want to curl a little at first each time you unroll it (not lie flat a little bit at the end) . Right away though, it seemed a little "slick" to me. The cork particles are very small and condensed. Not sure if that's a great way to put it, but the mat is rather slick. If you use something like YogaPaws, it's a non-issue (or dampen a little first). The bag is actually pretty good, but kind of a tight fit. Would have been helpful if the bag had been another inch (or two) larger ... but it works without any frustration. Really no room for anything else though. If you're going to use the bag though, it would have been nice if it were a little more generous in size. If this is in your price range, don't hesitate.

I'm a former athlete who has joined the corporate world and traveled too much. I'm trying to get back into shape, my knees aren't quite what they were. I combine running and weight lifting with (now) yoga and eating better. I have tried quite a few yoga mats, some expensive and some not, I found a $10 larger foam exercise mat at Walmart that I have been using fairly happily. But I can't transport that easily and now that I'm going to attend classes I wanted something wider than 24", that won't allow me to slip when doing the many down-dogs Yoga has you do, and is still cushy. This mat rings all the bells, I couldn't be happier. It's heavier than other mats if that bothers you (because of the rubber backing) but it's all-natural, very cushy without being an impediment to the practice, I have recommended it to my friends already.

Cork is awesome. This mat looks and feels grippy and looks just like other luxury cork mats but to me, the rubber bottom felt too squishy. No good for me as balance poses are my challenge. I suspect price reflects quality and the rubber is not as dense as other mats. Plus the logo is nice but not crazy about the name (frenzy is not what I'm after when practising yoga). Opted to spend more on a "pro" quality mat.

I've been doing yoga consistently at least 4-5x/week for the past 3 years. I have super sweaty hands and feet. Ive tried basic mats, jade, manduka, etc and I slip on them all! This mat has been a saving grace for my practice. I'm 5'8" 175lbs and like to do ashtanga/ vinyasa type classes and this mat has been the real deal for me.weight: yes it's heavy, but with that comes the cushion, headstands, back rolls, etc no problem! and it doesn't affect my balance, some of those thick mats are too soft and throw my balance off.size: totally love the extra width and length, I'm an average size guy and i kept finding my hands and feet and forehead off my mat all the time in the past, not anymore.appearance: I really dig the Frenzybird logo and how plain their mat is. No crazy patterns, no extra lines, nothing distracting me while looking down.grip: with my sweaty hands and feet I feel like Spider-Man on this mat, lol. But even if you don't have sweaty hands or feet you don't lose grip.accessories: they give you everything you need in one package!customer service: outstanding, I accidentally damaged my bag (my fault) and was able to get a new one very easily!

6/17/19 - I am returning to change my rating again. It's a 2 out of 5 stars. Honestly, the quality just isn't there. I I use this mat 3-4 times per week and purchased it assuming it would hold up FAR past 3 months. The cork (which is a thin strip glued to the top of the mat) is bunched up and coming apart in many places from the mat. It looks terrible. I have followed closely the mat's care instructions, so it's a real disappointment. 4/1/19 - I am returning to change my 5 star review to a 4 star. The mat is still great, BUT, it does slip if the cork isn't lightly misted or wet from sweat. Overall, I do like it a lot. March 2019 - I purchased this mat specifically for hot yoga. Used it today for the first time and feel very pleased. The mat is attractive and comes with a zipper bag, yoga strap, Velcro mat straps, and a functional carrying strap. The mat doesn't smell at all like chemicals and the cork is smooth. I researched a ton of mats before deciding on this one.

The best yoga mat I have ever used. Extremely grippy for poses which is helpful for sweaty practices and it is bigger then most mats. The yoga strap is a little too short for the poses I was hoping to use it for which is why I only gave it 4 stars. The carry strap is useful. I haven't used the bag and I've used the velcros for different non-yoga, purposes.

You get what you paid for! Had lower cost mats before, but end up keep replacing them, due to smell or sliding all over the place. This mat is ready to go right out of the box. No wait time to let it lay out.

I love the mat. But I have had it just barely over a month ant the bag is coming apart and fraying at the zipper. Very disappointed

I have had this mat for a few weeks now and have been using it for my daily home practice and I absolutely love it (so does my cat!). It has really good grip and has got just the right amount of cushioning, making any pose that involves putting weight through my knees so much easier. It smells great too. It is quite a bit heavier than my previous mat but not a problem at all. Love the little extras such as the bag and the strap. I would have given this product five stars but I was disappointed to find the mat wrapped in plastic (tissue paper would be better) and the box it come in was stuffed with bubble wrap (which I will reuse). Hopefully this little negative point could be addressed. Would certainly recommend as it is a great quality mat at a great price.

When I first received my mat I was really impressed. Unfortunatly, the mat bag is of poor quality. I have only had my mat and bag a short time and have used the bag only to carry the mat. It has completely ripped at the top and a zip has gone, it is in usable now. Again, all that was in there was the mat so it should be fit for purpose. Also the mat started to get slippery and no longer slip free after around 12 hot yoga sessions.Aesthetically the mat is great, it's comfortable and unroll perfectly but unfortunately it has not remained non slip.

The mat is super. It is quite hard which I like. So if you want softness you'll be disappointed.The bag that comes with it is not strong enough for the relatively heavy mat. Despite careful handling it is broken after 3 months. Not sure how to contact seller. I want a replacement really.

I have poor circulation and find that I can get clammy hands during yoga. My hands would always slip in downward dog and I resorted to having a towel at the end of my mat to help. I received this mat in time for a yoga retreat and so have already done several classes using it and I am in love with it. I haven't slipped once. It somehow feels soft but also firm underfoot, I feel supported yet the mat provides enough cushioning so poses that put a lot of pressure on the knee such as low-lunge don't hurt. I also quite like the smell of it! It's a slightly heavy mat but that doesn't bother me and the accessories it comes with are excellent also.

Great quality product. Nice and springy. Once you use it, you know it will last.My friends have told me it's a little on the heavy side. I don't believe so but I think I understand what they mean when you compare the weight to non cork mats.Great product, would definitely recommend if you're looking to invest in a great cork yoga mat.

Exactly what I needed. I have always struggled with slipping when doing yoga. I don't have any of that now, not even during hot yoga! Carrier bag and other accessories as fab as well. Only down side is it does smell very rubbery. I'm trying to combat that with essential oils

This is my first Yoga mat being a new be. I did quite a lot of research on what was going to be right for me.The quality of the mat is great super grippy and overall a great buy.The bag looks great and hopefully do the job even though other reviews slat it. All in all worth every penny, and hopefully years of great use.

Bought for my hot yoga class as the studio will start charging the mat from next year. I have tried it once at my regular yoga class and love the grip and it has a good support. The material feels natural and is not greasy as some other plastic /rubber based mat. Can't wait to see its performance at hot temperature.

Great mat, so good I bought a second one. Totally non slip but easy to move around. Does exactly what it says in the description. My only bugbear is that both of the carry cases wore out very quickly so that lets the overall experience down a little.

I feel amazing using this cork mat. Doesnt slip, its very comfy and cool. Its a bit heavier than other mats i owned but defo worths to practice on a natural surface.

Generally, it is a good quality yoga mat. Very comfortable material. Doesn't slip and doesn't move around on carpet either. It can roll up small enough for storage and carry around.

Had this mat for several months now. Use it daily and love it. Good grip and very comfortable. Although it is a little on the heavy side.

Smells horrible with a heavy chemical substance. I do not think it is eco friendly at all.
