I was considering making my own fruit picker, remembering one my parents used to have, but shopped the web before getting out the tin snips. I found this almost perfect match for the picker I'd remembered. It is made of sturdy metal and has a suitably strong bag attached. AND it saved a bunch of tinkering with sheet metal.This product didn't include a pole, but I found a great pole in my garage. I dug around for a nut and bolt to secure the picker to the pole, and in 10 minutes I was out picking Mangos! It does a great job!

This product is okay for picking figs. The fig has to be hanging down just right for you to get under it so you don’t harm the fig.

I have no problem with the design, however the rim (top opening) needs to be larger for larger fruit and capturing fruit before it falls when ripe.

This was so nice to have when I needed to harvest the cherry plums from our tree in the backyard. It would probably work great for pretty much any fruit. All you need is a long pole to attach it to. I definitely recommend this for harvesting fruit from trees.

You certainly get what you pay for with this picker. I purchased it to pick apricots. The net is tied to the frame with too lite of a twine. It was partially disconnected when I received the picker. And the net had a ripp where it attached to the frame. I would have sent it back if my apricots were not ready to pick. The picker was very akward to use. Sometimes it pulled a small part of the branch with the fruit.
