Needed a center console lock box for a new Toyota Highlander fits FACE UP perfectly..Built side brackets mounted on box itself so it could not be lifted out of console without unlocking the box. Note this is to keep honest people out....

Thick sheet metal, good welds, pretty much what I expected except where it looks like there were supposed to be 2 screws holding the hinge pin, one of the screws on my unit appears as if it was sheared off or missing outright. The hole in the door for the screw didn't align with the threaded hole in the pin. Wasn't a big enough issue for me to complain about as I am using it in an office setting honor system snack bar as a mild deterrent/gentle reminder to deposit $10s & $20s as well as suggestions in. (We've had some cash disappear even when we are a high security area.) I don't quite understand why they call it "under-the-counter" as the bolt holes are in the bottom and it comes with 4 substantial concrete anchors. I would have thought under the counter would have holes in the top to mount it to the underside of the counter. But I knew this before I bought it and I mounted it with tamper proof bolts to the top of a metal counter. Company label on the front was crooked just like the photo so I yanked it off.

Protex SDB-100 Under-The-Counter Deposit Safe  Super solid and comes with bolts suitable for concrete. Will just fit a standard business bank bag. Perfect for the needs of any small retail business!

This worked exactly as claimed in the product description, and fit my needs very well. It was money well spent.

The safe is well made but poorly designed. Contents can be removed in a matter of seconds by turning the safe upside down and shaking - if not bolted to a fixed surface, it's all but useless. This problem could have easily been prevented with a metal bar across the top behind the slot.

Lot smaller then it looks. Regular size envelope doesn’t get thru.

Works great for the purpose intended.

We ordered 2 of these safes and they look perfect for our needs. Unfortunately, the keys and mounting hardware were not included. That stinks! Starting the process over again...
