Love this book!
I admit it-- I'm an organizational nerd. So maybe it's not a surprise that I found this book so helpful as I get ready for the birth of my first baby. On the same hand, I can also see this book being helpful for those who are more of a free spirit. The authors take an almost holistic approach to getting organized, with a focus on nurturing yourself and those around you. I found it very comforting to know that there were things I could do today, while pregnant, to make my life easier when baby finally arrives.Although I discovered this book when 37 weeks pregnant, I've still found a lot of great ideas and organizing inspiration by paging ahead and reviewing previous sections of the book (it's written with organizational "assignments" for each week of pregnancy). I also love that the first 20 weeks postpartum are also covered with reasonable goals for a mom taking care of a newborn. Highly recommend!

great for expectant moms or even after!
I read every baby book out there. I am a pediatrician and started reading parenting book during residency so as to better help parents find the information they needed beyond medical advice. I have narrowed my recommendations down to a few books that seem to have the best info and cover the most common issues and questions. This step-wise book if perfect for getting ready for a life with baby. It isn't intimidating, reads quickly, and makes getting prepared manageable. Lots of people feel overwhelmed by the changes that come with having a baby. This eliminates the need to do everything at once and help you tackle the necessary steps one by one. I buy it for friends who are expecting and recommend it to everyone.

Great Baby Steps for Organizing Before Baby
I downloaded the free kindle sample and liked it enough to actually spend the money on the book. I find the organizational tools and prompts to be helpful, and not overwhelming to this tired pregnant mother. I like seeing the progress on things that I need to get done anyway, and having the book "coach" me each week. As I received the book at 25 weeks pregnant, a lot that could have been done sooner hasn't been done. I like the author's suggestion to just start where you are, and go back to previous weeks as you have the energy when the topic of organization is important.

So helpful!
I have severe adult ADHD and was very concerned about getting the house ready for my baby. I got the book in my 7th month and I was able to accomplish a lot even though I didn't follow the week to week plan. If you start this book from the very beginning of your pregnancy, I am sure it is even that much more rewarding. However, if you are looking at getting this book and you are further along in your pregnancy, it is still worth it! This book is an amazing tool to help you prepare for your family's new edition!

this book is great. I am 7 weeks postpartum (the book goes ...
I checked this out from the library early in my pregnancy and then realized I had to have it. I was completely unorganized with my first child and needed something to make the second easier. I got so much more. From getting my work prepared for my leave, making a realistic birth plan, thinking about more productive parenting and organizing my kitchen for quick access, this book is great. I am 7 weeks postpartum (the book goes through week 20) and am still enjoying it. Highly recommend.

Must have for Type A Mom's to be
I love this book! I downloaded to my kindle and have found the week by week approach to be much less overwhelming and the advice to be very practical. I started at about the 25-30 week mark, but found great advice and tips throughout this book. I would recommend for any new mom. We'll see how 'prepared' I am in 4-6 weeks though. The peace of mind was worth it, even if you can only 'prepare' so much to be a first time parent.

Very helpful
This book is really helpful for getting you organized with a baby on the way. I like how it's broken down by what week you're in so you don't become overwhelmed. Bought a second copy for my sister-in-law who is also expecting.

Just found out your pregnant? Get this book.
I really enjoyed reading this book, too bad it was a month after I had my second child. If you purchase the book upon finding out your pregnant, you'll get great use out of it. She breaks down tasks and establishes systems early in the pregnancy that pay off after the baby is born. I like the way the book is broken into manageable chunks. It makes me optimistic that sanity can return to the house.
