Really unhappy more with the seller than with the lights; seller states in several places to put lights 'at least 12" away to prevent leaf burn" so I ordered shelves 14" apart fixed since I was within the recommendation. Lights have no dimmer function and were about 5x brighter than expected, which would have been great if I hadn't just dropped almost $100 on new shelving. So, since there is no intensity level adjustment, despite weeks of tinkering, these lights have killed every set of seedlings.So if you plan to buy these, definitely plan on the 20" that's recommended by the manufacturer, and probably just save yourself the headache and find lights that have adjustable intensity... usually only about $10 more for similar lights.Wish I could return these but it's not even worth the hassle. Looking for new lights but plan to avoid this seller- if they can't even get their information correct, I don't think I'll bother trusting anything else they have for sale.

The system is very, very nice - but the pictures show pink lights and the light is white. The description says white light - but the pictures are misleading. I prefer the pink and blue - more bang for the watt. These appear to be well made and it is a very nice system - no timer. It is very difficult to find the lights without a timer. I prefer to have a separate, mechanical timer. When the power goes off, I don't have to reset everything unless it is off for hours. Update: plants are growing nicely and don't show any spindliness or other signs of insufficient light.

Let me start off by saying the brightness is great! The color is not the same as described they are more blue purple than anything. My concern is the plug as you can see in the picture. Its not made for americas use. There’s no holes which makes it a possible fire hazard. The back off the lights heat up really hot so placing them against something isn’t recommended. I used some stretchy string and hung them. The bulb side of the light stays cool though. I dnt recommend leaving the top cover of your greenhouse over them. I take mine off when using these light. They also aren’t interchangeable with other T8 lights. They’re ok if needed but I suggest getting a floor stand light for long term use.

These are great lights. We bought a set last year for one location and again this year to use in another location. This year's location was in view of our common living space so I had to create some baffles so the bulbs wouldn't be visible to people sitting or walking nearby. That's NOT a problem with the lights, but simply an indication of the brightness the lights create.

We bought both T8 and T5 lights this year because we wanted to have more light on plants below the window level and less up above where they also get natural light from two sides. The T5 lights gave us this option and have worked great.

My plants chose to grow towards a distant window than towards these lights that were inches away.

The T-5 fit together much better than the T-8. I have had to fiddle with the T-8's many times because the connections are not as good. The T-5's fit right together snugly. It is good, bright, pinkish light.

Product didn't last beyond about 2 weeks. The interface between the switching cord and the first light in the string showed signs of burning and was hot to the touch, then failed completely. I would not recommend this product for this or any purpose.

Really wasnt sure what to expect, but I needed some lights that wouldn't use alot of wattage. So far, my deiffenbachia, my sanseveria, my umbrella plant, money tree, gerbera sproutling, strawberry sprouting, and lucky bamboo plants have been flourishing with a setup of 5 of these lights 4 feet above in a spaced out line across 7 feet. Will be buying another pack and making another setup soon.6 months later... I went to write a review for this product and realized I had already written a great review! Lol, very happy with the new life all of my plants have thanks to these lights. Thanks again!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who didn't look hard enough, but despite being sold in Canada, this cord doesn't have plugs that can be safely used here.It has a 220v plug, while regular plugs in Canada are 120vUsing this could cause electric shock or fire.Mine will be arriving soon, and will swiftly be returned.

I should have got these before i got the led bulbs . These are awesome noticed big difference in just in 2 days . Plus it is brighter and uses less power. Will be buying more for sure vegetables love it. I didn't even use the clips to mount them . They don't give off heat . I just used electrical tape in the middle off two connection and on the ends to tape and hold it to the under side of wire shelf. Works great .

Have bought these now seven times ... was pleased at first with the flexibility provided with the connector cords to adapt them to different shelving ... unfortunately, have found that the last three sets the quality has lessened and of the three sets (5 lights each for a total of 15) bought over the past three months, 5 no longer work ... and the bracket kits provided with the last three orders have been missing screws ... second last set ordered, of the 5 bracket kits, 4 were without screws ... this product is obviously a cheap alternative to more expensive lighting for indoor growing but not worth it ... spend your money and buy a more reputable brand

I got these because they don't admit as much heat as fluorescent bulbs. I can set these are right on top of a tray dome and get better lighting without having to tie ropes or screw anything in I use masking tape and it holds it since they are so light. 11. something inches EA. Can connect them in multiple ways. Very convenient for cloning or seed starting and propagation
