Caught in the middle of a mid-life crisis, Pierre (Daniel Auteil) is desperate for change, and so leaves his wife and son and heads off to London to write a book. He scours the capital's streets to find a subject for his masterpiece and eventually meets male escort Tom (Stuart Townsend). Tom then introduces him to the sordid underground world of sex, drugs and prostitution, thereby giving him the inspiration he needs to begin his novel. However, Pierre is soon spending so much time immersed in his new-found world of women and drugs that he has little energy left for his writing.
