Nice map but does not have the kind of detail you asked about. Has most major cities but not waterways and mountain ranges.

No, the map is not actually laminated. I had to order a smaller map, as I did not get the 48x78 in time. The smaller map is 24x36. I took it to Staples (office supply store) and had it laminated for $12.00. It is amazing - I would have done the same thing with the bigger size. You can pick your own thickness when you laminate your map, and it will last a very long time, if not a lifetime. Also, the maps are very accurate and clear. I was very pleased.

Nice quality map

Nice and sturdy for a laminated paper map. We are tracking places we have visited and put the map on a foam backer board to put mini-pins in locations. IT has worked well. It is not as detailed as we had hoped, but that is to be expected with the small size.

Laminated, but, it still tears easily.

Very good map. Sad, that they didn't include Tibet. It is laminated, BUT, the lamination is very thin and the map still tears easily. BE CAREFUL.

Good Quality BIG Colorful Map

This map is big. Paper thickness is acceptable with good coating. Shipped very well packaged. Nice value for the price.

It's okay

The map is very nice and a perfect wall size. The lamination isn't as thick as I was expecting. It will work okay for our needs but I don't think we'll be using dry erase markers on it like they say you can. Which I'm really bummed about because I was hoping to trace exploration paths on it while learning about different explores in history with my kids.

Love this map!

This has a coating on it that makes the paper moisture proof. It's not as thick as regular plastic laminate but it serves it's purpose. I hung this large map in 3 minutes with a helper by using a tape gun (see photo) with 2 inch wide transparent packing tape applied full length to all edges of the map. Tape gun is similar to this one. After mounting map to wall, I went to the store and bought 2 12 foot lengths of 1 3/4 inch band moulding. I painted the moulding a deep blue color and used a cheap miter jig and saw to cut proper miters. It all went together perfectly and now looks professionally framed. Gets lots of compliment.
