I purchased this coil pack to resuscitate my recently expired 1974 rototiller. It had died in what I consider the prime of its life, and I felt it had many more years left to destroy my back and soul.This coil pack was the perfect solution to the failed electrical system of the above internal-combustion powered torture device. It was perfect because it replaces the original coil, points, and condenser all in one simple to install package. It eliminates the troublesome points and condenser forever. Even comes with a cardboard shim to adjust the coil gap to the flywheel during installation. Very old Briggs and Stratton 5 hp motor had lost its spark. Replaced the original coil with this modern pointless coil. The instructions were easy to follow and the old motor started right up. If it lasts as long as the one it replaced, it is a great deal.

This was a Bolt on replacement. Fixed my 5hp rototiller.

This product works great, it also replaces the old points system. I put it on my 1960 rototiller. I always had problems starting it. It now starts within two or three pulls.

Mounting holes aligned perfect and the cardboard spacer must of given the correct gap because the engine started immediately. Very happy it was the right part for my grandson's Go-Kart.

This kit brought back an old 92' Agway tiller with 5hp Briggs & Stratton engine to life, the instructions are well written and also very handy to use as a shim to install the new coil (clever). I chose to remove the points and condenser so I used the supplied plug to install under the points cover, so I just tapped it with a hammer lightly. This kit is the way to go instead of replacing old points and condenser design, just use the new solid state design coil.
