Not anything special. You have to click the button several times to get it to turn off as each click cycles through the brightness settings. I prefer headlamps that remember your last brightness setting and you hold the button to cycle through the brightness settings. No lockout feature to prevent accidental activation when its in a pocket or in a backpack. I put it in my truck as an emergency light. Would make a good loght if I had to change a flat at night. Disclosure: Rough Work gave me this head lamp for free. That did not influence my review in anyway.

It’s very comfortable, which is a big plus a lot of the times these things are bulky and scratchy. This is soft and light. Takes 3 triple A’s which are included, you’ll need to pull out the tab in the batteries. Seriously happy. It’ll work great for when light runs out and we’re working out in the backyard.

I felt bad because I got an email from seller wondering how I liked the light and never fulfilled his request. So figured I would leave a review. Looked at a lot of headlamps before deciding on this one. Chose this light because it was advertised as non frill, functional easy to operate light with just the most practical features that are usually used with headlamps. The others had more gimmicks, buttons and features that lost all practicality. As advertised it has simple one button operation. The three white light settings will satisfy and need and the light quality and clarity are amazing.Bottom line is this is a quality headlamp that is well thought out and designed by someone who uses it also.you will not be disappointed.

Bought this for my husband and here’s what he had to say: I’m a mechanic and always need good flashlights. This headlamp is bright enough that I use it on low setting most of the time. I really like that the red light is on its own setting instead of having to click the button 5 times to turn the lamp off like other ones I have. I have been using it for a week on the original batteries, which in my case is pretty amazing.

Very good quality, convenient selection of three brightness levels. I agree that you'll seldom need the highest brightness. The light is very narrow-beamed (12" circle at 6 foot throw) and directional, which is good for running at night or hiking a trail in poor light. Because I need the light for close-up trade work (like running cables in ceilings and checking plants for bugs), I would prefer a wider beam than this unit has. I am not describing a defect, just my own needs.

The headlamp has great brightness. The elastic band has great range. I where head lamps around my thigh for better visibility. The elastic band range cinched down small enough for that use but I could not keep the headlamp on the elastic. The slots are too slippery and the elastic slides right out of the slots every time I try to adjust the angle of the lamp.I'm going to try sone fine grit sandpaper to rough up the inside of the plastic the elastic runs through. I'm hoping it will give some grabbiness for the elastic.

I use these headlamps for crocheting at home. This headlamps button quit working properly after only 2 months of very light use. I do not recommend this product for anyone. I cannot even return it so it is going in the trash. I also have an Energizer brand headlamp I bought at the same time and have had zero issues with that one. Stick with a brand name.

I have been using and abusing this thing, it works great.
