Great product
My cat loves the taste and the price is a lot less than what you would pay elsewhere. As long as you use this as directed and brush your cat on a regular basis you shouldn’t have that many problems with hairballs.

Gruesome, huge hairballs eliminated. Sharing use instructions & ingredient info here also
My long-haired cat was vomiting hairballs off and on and then one day she vomited a sausage shaped hairball so huge that I can only imagine that it had filled her entire stomach. The poor baby was literally howling as she threw up. Honestly, after that incident I was afraid she could possibly die from having a hairball block her GI tract. I went to PetSmart and bought some expensive, petroleum free hairball treatment but my cat had absolutely no interest in it. I found this inexpensive product at Walmart and after about a week or so of using it the problem was alleviated. Now she will only rarely vomit a little ball of hair. Walmart has been my source for this product however they stopped carrying it and now sells a chicken flavored Hairball Solution Gel by Pet-Ag. I tried to get my kitty to use the Pet-Ag product but she showed no interest in it. I had a little of this product left so I had to put a little drop of the Hartz on the Pet-Ag product to get her to eat it. As you can see by the instructions below, the dosage to prevent hairballs is feeding a one-inch ribbon once or twice a week. My kitty thinks this stuff is a treat and cries for it. Since her stomach is holding less food at night, I give her a little dot of it nightly. She’s excited to get her treat every night when I’m brushing my teeth. I put the dot of paste on a little dish and she laps it up right away. I make it a point to give it to her only when her stomach is pretty much empty of food so that the effectiveness is not reduced by the product being absorbed by the food. Works well
I have 2 cats that are obsessed with grooming themselves, so they throw up fur balls at least twice a week, I ordered this product to see if it would help, and YES,it helps wonderfully. Now, both of my cats absolutely Hate the taste, but I squirt a bit into their mouth as directed once a week and it's been a month and both have thrown up only once. Game changer in my house. The price is definitely afordable to continue to buy this. I suggest trying this.

Something is off on product
I purchased this July 2024. Expiration is 4-2026. Gave it to my cat, like the instructions stated. She had diarrhea really bad, just awful. After one 1 inch ribbon. Hartz has alway been a good product, but this tube was bad. She cleared up . I thought maybe she had something else going on at that time. So I gave it to her Jan 2025, same thing. Must be contaminated. Just threw it in the trash. I’ll go back to using Vaseline.

It works...
So, the good news first: this stuff works! Our cat has the sleekest, hairball-free digestive system on the block. The bad news? You need to be a ninja with the patience of a saint to get this paste anywhere near your cat's mouth. Our Russian Blue, who is normally the epitome of grace and elegance, turns into a furry tornado of claws and hissing the second she hears the tube open. It’s like she knows it’s coming, and she’s prepared to go to war.The paste itself smells like salmon, so you’d think she’d be all over it, right? Wrong. Apparently, it’s a trap. Getting it into her is like trying to force a toddler to eat broccoli—except the toddler has weapons. We’ve tried every trick in the book: smearing it on her paws (she walks away like, "Nice try"), mixing it with food (she gives us the side-eye and walks off), and even sneak attacks (don’t even ask how that went). In the end, though, we somehow manage to get enough into her that the hairballs stay away. But if you’re thinking of getting this for your cat, just be prepared for a battle of wits, strength, and endurance. It’s cat vs. human, and let me tell you, she fights dirty.Final verdict: Great product if you can survive the application process. If not, consider wearing armor.
