Very good product. I’ll buy again and again.
This is such a good product. Less expensive then sure gel and much easier and quicker then sure gel.I added a little more then 2 tbs in a batch for a firmer gel. I highly recommend this pectin if you want a great jam.

You need about 6 tablespoons to get the right consistency in your jam. This is different from the Four from traditional single packages. That being said, once you know how much to use it works great.

Pleasantly Surprised
I was worried that this would not work as well as the little yellow boxes I buy at the grocery store, but I was pleasantly surprised. It worked great AND is much more cost effective. Will be buying more!

Jam set for high acid products; not for low acid jams.
There are no instructions or recipes to follow so you are on your own. It is less expensive than the by-the-box stuff (Sure Jel) but it takes more to get a good set. My low-acid onion jam did not set even with the addition of more pectin powder. My high acid pineapple strawberry jam did set very well.

Doesn't set up well!
I saw all the good reviews for this product, but was very disappointed. I followed the instructions, cooked it to desired consistency, and put it in the jars. It was already starting to set up, and I was so happy. But in order to give it a longer shelf life I had to water can it. After it was done, the jam was runny, and 4 weeks later, still hasn't set up. Its so very disappointing to put in all the hard work to prep and cook the jam, and to end up with strawberry syrup, it's heart breaking. I will not be purchasing this product again.
