Good:It works. It is silent - doesn’t click. The bracket system is standard Faria, sturdy and secure. It’s marinized. It’s made in USA. It’s attractive. All black and matches existing gauges (comes in white and with chrome rings if desired).Bad:It’s twice as expensive as most Faria 2” gauges. It is not backlit. Display is small and may not be easy to read in sunlight.At 2-1/8” it’s slightly larger than the 2” gauge it replaced so the existing dash hole needed some filing before it would fit.Notes:Standard Faria + and - stud (not spade) connections, so you’ll need to use ring/eye terminals from your 12v source.Meter is not triggered by any RPM or Voltage gate, so simply runs anytime it sees 12v across terminals (description was not clear on this).Meter can therefore be run up on the bench to match hours on a failed gauge by simply applying 12v across the studs before installation.Concerns:Unlike analog, if it dies and fails to boot up you may not be able to retrieve elapsed hours.
