Exactly what I had expected. Real leather shoes with 4 eyelits (2 on each side) with gold grommets for lace reinforcement, white slip proof soles, and comfortable insoles that don't reduce the shoes size when worn. The Sperry Original Boat Shoes are comfortable and don't really need to be broken in. These shoes will last a long time if properly cared for. I still have my original pair that I wear for outdoor work in the yard, and have had them for at least 6 years and they are still holding strong. This new pair will last longer for business and casual dress. They are true to size, the leather is very durable, look great and the sole isn't too thick or chunky. Absolutely a 5 star winner! Love them! Great value for the money!

Love, love, love Sperry's boat shoes because they're so comfortable. Let me start off by saying I consider myself to have wide and thick feet. This poses a big problem when it comes to narrow shoes but I saw the Petrol blue color and simply couldn't pass it up. Out of the box the color is absolutely beautiful. If you love blue, trust me you'll love this shade. The shoe sports a gum sole, which is non-marking and also has tied suede laces that are not pictured. I had a little difficulty initially walking when I first got these shoes. They were a bit tight in the front, and the back of the shoe dug into my heel. I know since I have wide feet it does take time for me to break into narrower shoes to get them comfortable, so I opted to wear these shoes with a pair of ankle socks (thin ones, not the thicker athletic variety) a few times. It REALLY helped stretch the shoes out. After wearing socks with these shoes 3-4 times they were good to go without socks and my feet fit comfortably inside. Over a few weeks of wearing them they have begun to crease a little in the front. Doesn't bother me, just means they're getting broken into. I have a few other pairs of Sperry boat shoes and this one has a soft, suede insole compared to others that have the leather insole. I kind of prefer the suede insole because it's much softer and the suede doesn't "rub" off over time. The petrol color is also really spot on to the Amazon photo. These pair of boat shoes are my go to shoes in the spring and summer and they look amazing dressed up or down. Don't hesitate to get a pair, you'll love them!

I'm a fan of Sperry Topsiders. They last forever and are great for everyday wear. I decided to give these a spin (even though they looked kind of pink in the pictures) because they were on sale that day. The color is like a mulberry or mulled wine. It's actually pretty neutral in terms of color, the wine version of a navy or grey, I suppose. As usual the soles are grippy and the laces adjustable. These ones come with a ribbon lace that's hunter green and mulberry, which is kind of festive. It reminds me of the colors of the early 1990s where everyone had that hunter green and wine color in their home dec catalogs. I would have preferred a simple tan cord. This ribbon tends to slip so once you get the shoes broken in you'd probably want to tie a secure, more permanent knot. Also, it seems to be sewn in somewhere along its length so it's not easily removed, which I tried to do as soon as I got them out of the box. Overall, 8 out of 10. One star off for the ribbon laces and one star for their usual lack of arch support, which is easily remedied by removing the insole that comes with the shoes and replacing with a different insert such as from the drugstore.

I ordered wide. These were not wide. I have blisters. And when they were shipped they were shipped in a brown paper bag with the amazon logo on it so the box they came in was obliterated. These have been my go-to shoes for years. Either these are counterfeit or Sperry really messed up in manufacturing because the box and inside of the shoes said they were wide too.

I decided I wanted to buy a pair of sperry's for the comfort and classic look. Plus they are an easy shoe to just slide on and go. They look professional at work, I'm a preschool teacher, and are great for casual too! I looked online and in stores for several months debating over which style and color I wanted... Which was a super hard decision cause I want all of them! I finally decided to try the classic Authentic Original in brown for my first pair... Cause they would go with the most outfits. I love how I can wear them in any season, and since I have a very high arch, and need lots of support, i hoped all the hype of awesome foot bed would be true! I normally wear a woman's size 10, but due to a turf toe issue - and in trying on a couple pairs of Bluefish style in stores - I decided to first try it in a woman's size 11 - and it is a slight bit too long, but it doesn't hurt my toe! They have been super comfortable since day 1, zero break in time - which is my goal in shoes as I've gotten older. I get frequent compliments, and my feet aren't tired at the end of the day! Can't wait to buy another pair!

The packaging was poor. The shoes look a little worn. The right is scuffed and the left is a little wide. I am keeping them as I have worn them twice. The shoes are comfortable and are very versitale. They can be worn with shorts, pants, and capri's. They can be easyily cleaned by just wiping them off. Not sure is they are water proof.

I got these shoes for a very good price, and I have to say that the quality is decent. Natural leather and super comfortable fit. I already have 3 different pairs from sperry, and I am very convinced with the quality.
