The Goldilocks Napkins
We purchase these for use at our small office. Probably not the cheapest available but they hit a sweet spot in terms of quality and value. The napkins might be a bit small (they come folded in quarters, so in other words when you unfold the napkin fully you have one crease vertically and one crease horizontally) but I suppose it depends on what you are used to. Technically they are two-ply in that you can separate but they become ultra thin at that point and probably not useful any more (see pic for size and thickness elaboration).I've used thicker and larger napkins but these are a good "Goldilocks" middle of the road purchase.Thickness: (1 being very thin, 10 being the thickest) I would say they are maybe a 3 or 4?Value: mid range (see breakdown below)Size: smaller than dinner napkins I am used to but can cover your lapAbsorbency: due to their thinness they are good, but they are not paper towels.I have purchased this brand three times over the past two years and the quantity and pricing available seems to fluctuate a bit. Would also recommend subscribe and save if you are the type to need napkins at this frequency.$8.51 for 400 (.021/napkin)$17.93 for 1080 (.016/napkin)$23.64 for 1200 (.019/napkin)Conclusion: good enough product that hits our sweet spot and haven't needed to look elsewhere

Absorbent smooth alernative to cloth
These feel like a haven napkin. They feel more substantial than the thin paper napkins that are less expensive. But “you get what you pay for” proves true in this case. These are a nice choice between the thin least expensive paper napkins and cloth napkins. They also look nice in napkin holders if you like to use those. These last for more than one wipe of a hand during a meal. When folded in one’s lap (dinner sized), they often has been a barrier in ruining clothing, prevented clothing from absorbing a slight spill of non-greasy, not-too-juicy food like a stray carrot, falling sprig of broccoli, a pea, bouncing piece of meat. These also come in lunch size and dinner size. Sometimes the thin paper is handy ( picnics, light meals, snacks) but my dinner go-go are these.

Fantastic Value for the PRICE!
Vanity Fair everyday napkins have a nice, embossed pattern, on a bright white, soft paper, and they are a decent size; not the enormous dinner napkin, and not the 'paper-towel-like' thickness of some, but that wasn't what I was looking for. I was looking for a disposable napkin for a casual outdoor feast for 50 children & adults. I purchased these the week of Thanksgiving and received it in 2 days (thank you, Prime) but in the meantime, while at the grocery store, I saw the exact same napkins for half the price! "OH, NO!" I thought, "I could've saved myself AND bought local!" ... But when the package arrived, clarity arrived! It's a TWO pack! 400 napkins for the price of 200! GREAT DEAL ON A GREAT PRODUCT!

These are the go to for me
I first bought these in a local store and loved the quality. Found them on Amazon and did the subscribe and save but had to go back to individual purchase as I wasn't using them up fast enough. Much better than store brands and, while not a cloth napkin I'd have no problem using with dinner service. Generous size, too.

Does anybody really review napkins
I like to eat, at least three times a day. I also have a beard, which needs to be kept clean. As do my pants. And my grand daughters hands and face. That is why we need napkins, and these napkins do the job. My dry cleaning bills are low. Grand daughters hands are clean. So it seems to me that the Vanity Fair napkins fulfill their purpose quite nicely. In addition, my cats like to eat them, so we all are happy with this product.
