ThermoSmart technology is a rainout reduction feature created by Fisher & Paykel. ThermoSmart technology is a unique heated hose which maintains the warm environment for the airflow to prevent condensation. With conventional humidification, as air flows from the heated humidifier through the CPAP hose, the surrounding air cools the air inside the CPAP hose. As the air cools, it releases moisture in the tube and mask. The heated hose creates a continuous heated environment to help the air hold its moisture and be delivered effectively to the user. This tubing will only work with the ICON Series CPAP Machines. The ThermoSmart Heated Hose for ICON Series CPAP Machines is 76.5 inches from end to end, including cuffs.

This FP heat tube is compatible with 22 mm in diameter headgear adapters!
Was cautious about buying this hose because it is designed to be used with the Fisher & Pakey ICON base unit. Why was I cautious? Because there are people, here, who are representing that the distal end of the hose WILL NOT fit a standard 22 mm in diameter connection. Wrong! It DOES, indeed, fit the connector on a ResMed P10 unit. The hose is of good quality and once I receive the base unit, I will update this review. My advice is to NOT listen to customers who are answering the question about compatibility because they are wrong, grossly wrong. And, I will include images to prove my point.

Perfect fit for F&P Icon+
Was pretty happy to find this product which is exactly like the original tubing I received from the Sleep Apnea center for my F&P Icon+. It was purchased to replace the original tubing because my cat decided to chew on it and left tiny little punctures that would make the air hiss when I try to use it.I've been using it for 4 months without any problems until my cat decided to chew on it again. Definitely will order another. I'll also have to figure out how to make the tube less interesting for him.

Had to Purchase or wouldn't be able to use CPAP
It feels like, looks like the typical tubing, but with a little nitch at the base designed exclusively for the CPAP that I'm using. To my surprise however, I don't get the condensation build-up that I've gotten with other hoses. Nice change.

Very good purchase and choice. Delivery within the expected timeframe and the quality of the product was exactly what I expected. Highly recommend.

Whistling after 2 months
In less than 2 months the hose is already whistling. Frustrating

Wrong Hose
Wrong hose, why does it have to be such a hassle? Stick with one hose fits all so they fit all machines. Difficicult to ascertain what hose it's compatible with what machine by looking at the picture. Save yourself some time and go in person to CPAP supply store.

Works perfectly.
It was a perfect replacement. I would have preferred that it “clicks” into place on the mask like the original tube I got with my new CPAP unit.

Heated,,,at its best
As always this is a heated hose, that really does its job. Well made, by a very reputable company.
