These chili pods are pretty expensive, but they are the real deal. I grind them up and they make the most delicious red New Mexico chili powder. I am a fan

Price far exceeds the quality
Product arrived with several pods moldy. The Chile’s were very brittle, not very usable. I’ve used these before with no problems, but this bag was garbage. The price has risen, yet the quality has declined.

Check all brands of dried chili pods before using-no Brand is perfect
No matter what brand of dried chili pods are bought there are always a few with mold, thats why they should be checked before using, usually a dark spot will be a good one to check, but it’s not always mold. These are the best dried chili’s I have found, without drying them myself-still mold appears on a few. I slowly roast them and crush them using what ever device is good for you. Perfect red sauce every time!!!!

I thought I was getting Chili's like pictured on the bag
Almost everything I got was broken Chiles, seeds, pieces. Not many good whole undamaged Chili's.
