Easy To Install. Nice Fit. Sturdy.
We replaced the original lid on our cargo trailer with this one. It was easy to install and fit nicely. It seems thicker and sturdier than than the unbranded factory original. Corners are a bit more square than original but still seals tight.I don't know what the 17" x 16" dimensions presently in the product description are based on -- it was closer to 14-5/8" square, which was what I needed.

Great Roof Vent Cover Replacement / Upgrade
Our 2006 Toyhauler plastic roof vent covers were wearing thin and you could see that it wouldn't take much to poke your finger through them with very little effort. Last camping trip the front one was missing when we got to our destination!? The top portion just broke and blew off. So researched these and ordered 3 to replace all the vents. To install you need to remove the 4 screws holding the inside plastic ceiling "flashing". Then unscrew the crank handle. Next remove two more screws holding the screened middle section on. Then unscrew the 2 screws holding the up/down crank mechanism. Now from the roof of the trailer slide the arm up (or down) the slot to remove it from the top cover. Then unbend one of the crushed ends of the thin metal hinge of the plastic vent cover. Slide it off. Crush one end of the new cover hinge & slide it on. Crush 2nd end to secure it. Then insert arm into cover slot and go back down inside trailer and replace all parts taken off. Seems like a lot to do but is basically just using a screw driver and some needle nose pliers. Once on it looks great. They feel incredibly thicker and stronger than the OEM versions. Material does filter out more light than originals due to being thicker. Overall very very happy with them and glad I chose to replace all three. First one took about 15 minutes to do as I figured out what I needed to do. The 2nd and 3rd only took ten minutes to do them both due to the learning curve from the first. Doing it over again I would go through all three of the the inside vents and remove everything first then go on roof and install the covers. Then put the parts all back back on the inside together. Probably take about 20 minutes that way to do the three. Hope that helps you a bit when you get your covers. Careful up on the roof esp if wet!

wonderful product.....but
this arrived and I was impressed with the quality of the cover. It seems like it should last well. Easy to install if you follow the steps on the package. works fine. A good product. Now the BUT. the center brace that accepts the actuating lever is installed upside down!!!! I've read this but bought them (2) anyway and sure enough mine came thru upside down. The tension spring plate on the arm will rotate and fall off now because the flange is not on top of the actuator arm. When you build a product that has been reviewed to have a problem you would think Q+A would pay a little attention.....apparently not. I have a trip in 2 days and need these due to tree damage on the old ones. so now I have to drill out the center brace and re rivet it in the proper position.....i wonder if Camco will reimburse me the hourly rate to fix their screw up? Yeah, it could happen.

Nice, Solid, Simple to Install
The two year old vent cover on my travel trailer had deteriorated to the point of just crumbling apart, so a replacement was in order. Rather than pay the big bucks taking it to an RV repair shop, I figured I'd scout out some options online. I started to go with the $10 version, but saw this first and decided it was worth a little more for a heavier, more solidly constructed product. I'm pleased with that decision - out of the box this item was noticeably more solid and durable than the one I was replacing. The shape is a little more square, but it still fits the opening and seals properly. Installation took me about 15 minutes, and a chunk of that was trying to find a long, skinny screwdriver that would fit to remove the two screws holding the screen in place. It was a pretty straightforward process - remove the 4 screws holding the casing in place on the inside, then remove the screw holding the handle crank in place. Next, the 2 screws holding the screen in place (that's where I needed a longer screwdriver than the one on my Leatherman) and finally the two screws holding the crank mounting in place so it can slide and allow the arm to disengage from the cover. From there, it was up to the roof with the needlenose pliers to bend the end back to slide the old vent off and the new one on. Once it was place, I used the pliers to bend the little metal ends to hold it in place, reinserted the crank arm in the slot, and headed back down to replace all of the screws. I've got a nice, solid fit - it connects with the seal all the way around, and feels much sturdier than what I had before. Hopefully I won't have to do this again for years.

Camco product with stood 100Mph Winds and Ice Cube size hail!
We ordered these new Camcos, after finding that our original camper covers were broken from a few small branches hitting the top of the camper. We have had them installed for a few years and just a few weeks ago our Camper was in 100mph (Glen Arbor, MI) winds and hail. I was away from my camper at the time on Mackinaw Island, MI. When I returned thinking the worst, I got on top of my 36' RV and many of the plastic cover on the sewer were broken, however the Camcos were un-harmed (I have two openings with these on top). I then noticed holes in my awning and a pile of ice pellets next to the camper. So, these are very durable and am very happy with these and we still get great sunlight in. Thanks Camco!

Great Vent Lid
I had to replace the vent lid for my bathroom fan (cheap OEM 4" unit). The cover had deteriorated and cracked, even though I have Vent Cover over top of the fan. So I replaced that with a MaxxFan 4 speed (excellent unit - very quiet, and it actually exhausts air). And I decided to replace the other 2 vent lids for the other 2 (non-powered) vents in my fifth wheel. These vents also have vent covers, but were showing signs of ageing. I decided on the Camco Polycarbonate lids. They are about twice as thick, and almost twice the weight (I actually weighed them) of the original (Heng?) lids. These lids are much sturdier that the original. There is a sticker sating that they are indestructible, but I'm sure that you could destroy it with a hammer if you felt so inclined. Even though they are white, they are less transparent than the original smoke coloured lids, but as mentioned I have covers over them so that cuts out most of the light anyway.Would recommend them.

Heavy duty RV vent lid
This Camco vent lid is definitely a major upgrade when compared to the original vent lid from Flagstaff. The original vent lid literally disintegrated after 5 years. The Camco vent lid is much heavier and solid when compared to the original. Installation went smoothly with no problems. Now with this heavy duty vent lid as well as a Camco vent lid cover, I should never have to replace another vent lid

perfect fit and durable replacement
I have an older trailer where one of the vents needed the top replaced due to age and brittleness. This cover fit perfectly and was very easy to replace. I would recommend replacing the seal at the same time, since it also becomes stiff. This should last for a lot of years, with far less concern of it being broken in a hail storm (other skylights I have in the trailer are likely more fragile though).

Best lid cover i found
The quality of this product number far exceeds all other offerings i have seen. If you need a cover to last a yr or two, then buy the cheap one. If you want a more durable product buy this one. Thickness and contruction quality of these covers far exceeded the oem lids on my starcraft rv
