So far so good most of these types of thermometers are not accurate

Easy to use because it quickly powers on, loads itself, tells you exactly where to aim on your forehead, and instantly reads your temp. It’s also accurate. I took my temp just prior to visiting the doctor, and it was spot on with the doctor’s thermometer.

I like Braun products but not this thermometer. I bought it as I wanted to be able to check my kids temperature without touching / waking them up and it is very easy to use. However, this thermometer is not accurate. It was reading 103.5F on my child and I rushed to urgent care. There was no waiting time and within 20min from my reading, they measured it to be 101.8. I couldn’t believe it;so I asked the nurse to repeat the test and sure enough it was 101.8. I came home, checked again on my thermometer and it was reading over 103. Bottom line, I would not recommend this product.

I've been sick for 6 weeks(not covid), so having a guide to report to Dr is important. 1st time I take temp it always registers 102.5. after 2 more tries it evens out & becomes a consistent temp which has averaged 101-102 yellow or red light depending on time of day. I then check another family member, they register between 97.0-99. I then recheck mine and get the 101-102. I bought the cheaper no name "Amazon recommended' as well and it registers 97.9 for everyone but doesn't seem to be returnable, so I'm out $16 for that one. All in all this Braun seems decent. Also had bought the glass Geratherm, impossible to hold in mouth, never registered above 96. Would just like to feel confident in what the temp is.

I buy this exact thermometer for every baby shower I go to and to date - everyone has loved theirs. We loved ours , our first lasted a little over 5 years which is a great lifespan. We ordered a second one and love it just as much.

This works great even when trying to take the temperature of a wiggling, screaming baby. It’s simple, fast and accurate. Just remember to take off the clear protective cover before using.
