Helluva lot of fun, but no cheap toy. Highly recommended!
I've had this for a couple or three weeks, and it's nothing but a total blast! Kill-zone-reducers? Some may think of them more as "ego-reducers". When you get down to that 1/4" opening, you had better be a REALLY good shooter. It's great, though, that you can choose your own challenge level & get better.First I was surprised at the weight of the target as it is made of sturdy 1/8" steel. Assembly was a snap and took only a few minutes to complete. The reset pull-cord is a braided nylon cord that will stand the test of time, but is also easily replaced when the time comes. The pull-cord comes wrapped around a metal, hollow "bow tie" for wrapping and storage (nice touch). To use the target without it falling over, you will need to use the included 4 metal stakes; all well and good if you are setting the target on soft ground, but an issue on hard surfaces or rocky ground. To make it easier to use on virtually any terrain, I simply took a 12" x 12" piece of plywood, screwed on some edging, and drilled holes to accommodate four small bolts. I attach the target to the board using the bolts and wing nuts. This setup also manages to catch the pellets that drop for collection and safe disposal (hence the board edging). As I use this target exclusively with lead pellets, I can keep my grounds relatively free of spend lead rounds. For paint touch-ups (with high gloss Rustoleum or the like), the contraption is easy to disassemble, paint and reassemble. A bit of oil on the springs and hinges, and you're set. Fun to use, and great feedback for good marksmanship. As your skills improve (or the accuracy of your airgun), you can make it more challenging 1/4 of an inch at a time.Note: Though I've used this well with both my Benjamin Trail NP All Weather .177 cal Nitro Piston Pellet Air Rifle and my Umarex USA 2252267 Browning 800 Express .22 Pistol, is doesn't work well with my less powerful Crosman 3576 Semi-Auto CO2 Powered Pellet Revolver with 6-Inch Barrel.Shoot well and, as always, shoot safe.

Fun pellet gun target.
I have been using this squirrel target for several weeks and must have fired over a hundred pellets at it. It works exactly as it should. It goes down when you hit the yellow target and it resets easily with a tug on the line. The line is much longer than I will ever use. Its a very durable line, probably nylon. I put this target about 60' out and don't come close to the max length of the line. At 60' the target is challenging enough without using the reducers. If you are an expert shot or if you want to put the target close you can use the reducers. The smallest reducer is about a 1/4" hole. The squirrel and reducers are made of a nice thick steel. Pellets do not dent the steel but they will take the paint off. The squirrel can be removed and flipped over. I repainted mine once after 100 shots. It takes 10 minutes to disassemble and paint. It is very satisfying seeing the squirrel go down. Way more fun then hitting soda cans.

This Squirrel Target will Knock You Over.......
Works well. The target needs to be mounted low so the string can be held high to facilitate resetting. Expect a lot of stretching until the reset action happens. Have used the reset feature out to 25 yards with no problems. The target must be rigidly secured for the reset feature to work. I mounted the target on a 2 in thick board with sections of rebar that can be hammered down & removed through holes in the board to keep the target anchored to the ground. I have been using it mostly for airgun shoots. 22 and 25 caliber pellets have enough energy to easily knock down the target at 25 yards. 17 caliber pellets do not. I placed a thin plastic shim at the base of the knock down linkage to angle the target disk back slightly. This enabled knocking down the target when using 17 caliber pellets.

reset time and time again
This reset target works great. Stake it down and run the string back to shooting position and just shoot it all day and never get up to stand it back up. Worked flawlessly time and time again. This has held up to my 1000fps .177 PCP with no dings or dents. More powerful guns may cause damage (your probably safe with a .22 PCP but anything larger will leave damage). Paint is taking a beating but a rattle can of black and yellow will solve that issue. Take care of this target (lube the pivot points once in a while and bring it in after shooting) and it should last a lifetime.

Fun knockdown target, good for 22caliber pellet guns
The target is small, but intentionally small so that you can practice your accuracy. The metal is pretty thin though. I would not try to plink with anything over a 22cal pellet though. I'm not sure that this metal will be able to take a centerfire round. There's a pretty good length of string included to pull it back up when you knock it down.I tested with a GAMO 22 cal swarm whisper air rifle using 22 cal GAMO pellets. It will easily knick the paint and put a small dent into the metal. It won't pierce the metal, but a quick coat of spray paint will remedy the scratches.

It takes hits from the pellets very well
This is a great practice target. I shoot at it with my Ruger break barrel pellet gun at about 25 yds. It takes hits from the pellets very well--a little denting and of course the paint chips off. The string to reset it is a nice feature. It is very long, so I only unroll about 1/2 of it at 25 yds. I mounted it to the top bar of a real estate sign holder frame I use to hold my targets. Those frames are made of very sturdy metal, have a framed area of about 18"x24", and have two long prongs at the bottom to easily insert it into the ground. This target works great on that frame. I definitely recommend buying.

Works well but needed a "fix" out of the box
It is a good target and works well.Mine had a PIN that was a bit short and the KEEPER ( a press on affair) did not have enough pin for it to hold. I replaced the pin with and nut and bolt and all was well.
