Pretty nice but a little iffy on the transfer rate
This thumb drive is great in terms of portability. Honestly it is made of a full metal piece so it has a bit of weight to it. Another thing I will say about this thumb drive is that it has a type c connector which is great for those new type c phones as well as type c laptops. The transfer rate is a bit erratic in that it jumps from 25 Mb/s to 45 Mb/s which is a bit annoying but it does have the 3.0 speed every so often. I would say that using the USB 3.0 on this is faster than the type C connector. There is a small loops so you can attach a chain to it if you want to put this on your keys or lanyard. One thing to note is that the metal on this is prone to scratches so if you are going to put this on your keys be aware that you may actually get a bunch of scratches first time using it. Another interesting thing is that the bottom of the usb port does not have the usual teeth or grip. I was afraid this might actually cause it to become loose easier but it does not hinder the thumb drive and it actually makes it easier to tell which side is top and bottom. The turning mechanism is quite tough so you do not have to worry about it spinning by accident or anything. The storage capacity is actually a standard 64 gb and I do not see any issues with it after utilizing the thumb drive. Overall I think this device is great for if you want to keep files on or need to empty out your phone. You are able to do all of this easily and efficiently although I would be aware that the 3.0 speed is not stable and can change very easily when transferring files.

Convenient, Easy to use, no third party app needed for android.
Note9, Super easy to use. No third party app needed. Transfering GoPro 4k images to my laptop and my external Hard Drive. Tried also on a Note5 and it also worked.

When available buy this!
Great for people that use multiple operating systems for tech gadgets. I have a 256GB SD card that I can add content from any type of smartphone as well from CPU.

Does NOT back up Live Photos!
This product does NOT back up Live Photos from your iPhone! (At least not as far as I've been able to figure out...) It appears only to convert Live Photos to JPG format (without mentioning that that's what it's doing, which disturbs me).I will update this review if I discover otherwise. There is also no way to charge the phone while backing up. I had to stop the backup less than halfway through because my battery had gone from 100% to 29%.

Returned it immediately
USB 3 connector:On 2 different older Mac computers (with USB 3 ports), the hardware was absolutely not recognized by either computer. I also tried connecting it via a USB extension cable, which made no difference.Windows PC: out of curiosity I took it into the office and tried it in the USB port of a modern PC, which recognized the unit immediately.Lightning connector with iOS:Installed the required special app on my iPad Pro (running latest version of iOS). Just like many other reviewers, I found the app completely useless; I could NOT get it to recognize any files on the iPad to be copied off. The app has HORRIBLE reviews in Apple's App Store, which I agree with.USB-C connector: could not try it, no devices.

It has slow write speeds
Positives: all three connectors give flexibility in using with different devicesNegatives: Write speed (writing to USB) is very slow in my testing (three-fold slower than a slightly less expensive model I bought at same time). If you are transferring large amounts of data from phone or computer be prepared for this.Possible negative: the Lightning and traditional USB ports are together - the Lightning port swings out for use. I worry about how sturdy this will be but works OK for now.

Poorly made flash drive ends up being a huge waste of time.
This drive barely lasted 4 months. I started having problems plugging it into ports after just a few uses. The usb end will not stay together well enough to plug in or have most computers recognize it. It actually damaged a usb port on one laptop. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT! I finally managed to get it plugged in and recognized on a laptop. But now I have to get all my files off this useless drive so I can put them on a better one. I will upload pictures of the faulty usb end as soon as I'm done getting my files off and feel safe unplugging it. I wanted to upload this review to try to save someone money and time. A good idea due to the versatility and the fact that I could easlily move files and images off my Android, a Samsung Galaxy S8. But poorly and cheaply made, making it more of a headache than anything else. Plus it damaged a usb port!

Buggy Required App is not ready for prime time.
My reading suggested that it works for IPad Pro 11 AND IPhone, which is why I wanted a lightning/usb c/ USB drive. As the seller notes, it will only work for Apple products with the app CooDisk.....which is...terrible. The device here gets decent reviews, but the app gets two stars on the Apple App Store. I don’t know how it did that well.Worse, it didn’t work with my IPad Pro 11. I was able to copy a picture to file in a folder that I could not name or rename. That’s all. The drive never showed storage capacity or remaining storage and when I selected the external drive in the app, it constantly just went back to show the internal drive on my iPad. No horizontal format on IPad Pro, vertical only so you have to hold the IPad up vertically while you try to transfer files. So...for Apple users, you MUST use Coodisk and Coodisk is horrible. Maybe I didn’t understand the poor documentation. It’s not worth my time. I returned mine.
