GreenView Fairway Formula Grass Seed Dense Shade Mixture - 20 lb. Bag

I have a fairly large area under the shade of three very big trees, and was not successful in growing grass. This product germinated and grew well. This is pure seed, no coating, so you get more seed per pound. I will be ordering more.

I am by no means an expert, so train of salt, but seemed like it didn’t germinate as fast as other blends and brands I have used in the past. That being said, it’s deep shade mix because I’m putting it in a pretty shady area, mostly just under a tree where who knows what the soil quality is. I hate to bash the product when my issues could definitely be environmental or user error.Some is finally growing now after what seems like weeks of at least once a day watering. It is the type of grass I wanted (thin blades, shade).

Grows fairly fast. Nice grass seed.

O have tried for 3 years to grow grass in a highly shaded area, nothing worked until now. This stuff is great fully grown in in 22 days.

This seed germinated in less than a week. You get a lot more seed when it's not coated like other brands. We will see how it does over the summer and I'll update this review

worked well in an area with a small amount of sun

It was going great. Tons of rain when I planted and was in shade so the sun wasn’t drying it out. All of a sudden it stopped growing. Would pay for money for Scott’s instead
